  1. Because the button isn't the next selectable option, "Post Icons" is and your enter just reselects "No icon"? Nope, I lied, works just fine for me on the Macbook running FF3.
  2. I'd say the HE60s belong in the $1000 price bracket they used to occupy. No way they're worth double that in my opinion but that doesn't seem to have stopped lots of folks.
  3. The temptation to edit your posts to look like nonsense is not small, just for the funny factor.
  4. You don't ask for much, do ya?
  5. Well, I guess I'd have to have a lot more $$ than I do now to blow a grand in one day and have absolutely nothing to show for it. Sure, you got some "entertainment" out of it but that's pretty expensive entertainment from where I sit.
  6. Other than it not being there to buy - hard to imagine that Sony would f up the transition so badly that dealers ran out of stock. Oh wait, no it's not.
  7. So what the frack? I finally get ready to buy a PS3 and Best Buy stops carrying them??!? Is there something going on that I'm missing?
  8. Where are you getting yours from?
  9. It's because she danced and will post the video shortly.
  10. Hmmm, that's certainly different from what I've experienced. I've got 2 more on the way and will inspect them closely.
  11. That's a good point Hirsch regarding the variable impedance of a driver over the full frequency range. But I can't recall ever seeing a man'f spec their drivers like that before.
  12. About all I have to offer is that it's worth some extra effort to audition stuff in conditions as similar to those that you'll be using them in as possible and with as much of your own equipment as is feasible. And for both Audio and HT you might have a look at Paradigm's Reference Series. In your budget there should be a few options and you could also give a listen to some of their Monitor series as well. There should be dealer within driving distance and honestly I'd think long and hard before purchasing used speakers especially if shipping is involved.
  13. Just shoot me a PM when you decide for sure and I can get you a price for the bundle.
  14. Yeah, I've done the same - I reterm'd my Zu to use a 4-pin XLR. What I found somewhat odd was that most of the geometry was for wires that were only connected to ground and some only at the 1/4" plug end. Seemed like a lot of effort and wire in name of what only appeared to be shielding. A standard 4-wire braid seems to work fine for me and I haven't found a need for shielding of a headphone cable yet. And Jay, I get all of my UPOCC wire from Sonic Craft (Sonic Craft High-End DIY Audio Parts). Since I usually order 100' or more I get a bulk discount from them and since I've spent several thousand dollars with them over the last year I get a discount on connectors as well. Let me know if you need something. I've had less than stellar results ordering from Canada in general lately so Take5 has become a less appealing option although their service has always been good.
  15. Given the effort to build these cables (I think I average around 2-1/2 to 3hrs for a cable like this) I'd say they already justify a premium price. To my ears the UPOCC is as good a Senn cable as I've heard and better than others that cost more. The freakin' Zu V2 runs ~$400 for a 3M cable.
  16. Looks pretty nicely lit assuming that's the on board flash. Of course that camera has a shoe so you'd be better still getting an external unit like the 430ex and experiment with a diffuser or bounce.
  17. Thanks, and bummer about having to mod the Cardas plugs. Nothing like adding a step to the build process, as if there isn't enough already!
  18. Ryan, If you could find a pair of Cain and Cain's locally you might be able to slide them in under budget. Although that's probably pretty damn unlikely.
  19. Not looking good for me but Mikey might have a fun new toy for the meet. And yes, I've already asked the wife, delivery of said goods does not qualify as an excuse to go to Florida for the weekend.
  20. Finally got around to building myself a Senn cable. 10' 4-wire braid of 22ga Neotech UPOCC wrapped in nylon multifilament and terminated with the Cardas connectors and Neutrik HD 4-pin XLR. I also built a matching adapter for use with normal amps.
  21. I checked the US distributor for those drivers and can't find any pricing information, am I looking in the wrong spot?
  22. I'm pretty sure that Kevin is referring to Todd's other player.
  23. Nice work!
