Not to play debbie downer but all he had to do to get those tracking numbers is to hop online and fill out a form and throw in some weights and sizes. Nothing has to be packed. I could do the same right now no USPS's site and say I sent you something. I'd probably push that as the next course of action. Simply state that his inability to get to FedEx to ship the package is BS and that you'll pay for shipping yourself, deduct it from what you owe him and schedule a FedEx pickup for tomorrow. If he balks at giving you the pickup address I'd say you'd have your answer as to whether or not the amp is really ready to ship. Goddamnit I hate his stupid little games.

My wife works in a school and they've missed so many days already (mostly due to the epic ice storm) that the school just announced that any further cancellations will be taken out of school vacation weeks. Talk about a kick in the nuts...

deepak, I'd have a look around before buying something like that on Amazon. There's way too much shady in the watch business for me to buy something that like if there's even a hint at past bad performances. I've found pretty good advice here - Watchuseek Watch Forums - although I shop in a vastly different price category than you.

I'd label it neutral, and damn fast. Outside of that I freely admit that I'm not one to hunt endlessly for the last 1% of purity. It's among the best digital I've heard for sure which puts it up there with the likes of Wadia, Electrocompanient, The Hertsens and others. Could you find something that you might like better, I'm sure of it, but I'd guess it'd be a pretty subtle preference. And no worries about synergy with tube amps and HD650s (although I'm going to dismiss the "tube" aspect), I'll I've really used it with is The Menace and my HD650s. By in large I don't find the Menace to sound like a tube amp so hence the dismissal, it just sounds like a good amp.

Dan, I'm semi-volunteering for the task should you ultimately end up in a bad place with Mikhail. I have a severe dislike for the way you and others have been treated.

I've been impressed with the Buffalo that I built. While ultimately it won't unseat the Hertsens as my primary source that's really only for emotional reasons. It's every bit the equal of that DAC, which has been pretty well received by those who've heard it.

Worst comes to worse get the chassis back and we'll have fun putting something in it.
