  1. I will freely admit that I am not up for chassis work, even if FPE panels are provided. There's still a lot left to do not to mention the liability of the whole thing (purely from a time standpoint). Sorry if that negates my usefulness.
  2. It's f'ing fantastic so far, that's all I know.
  3. Neko Case - Middle Cyclone I don't feel bad, since there's no way I'm not buying this in two weeks!
  4. 9 mo and only 12lbs, eek! Lily is a tiny little thing and she's 16+lbs at 8months.
  5. Not to stray too far off the original topic but I would never use one for a transport either. It just seems to make sense to me to limit the amount of clutter and unnecessary crap in a transport and that makes just about any DVD player (short of the big guys like Esoteric) a poor candidate for a dedicated transport.
  6. The 2910 is one of the more disappointing listens that I've had. I found it to be roughly on part with a piece of crap and it's probably still a bad deal at $140.
  7. I know that I'm not the only Emily/Metric fan here so when I found this tonight I figured I'd make sure that others new about it.
  8. It's not you Gary. All you can really do is email them and ask them if they have what you want and how much it really is since even if they have a price it may not be up to date. The good thing is that they're good folks and have given me good service over the years.
  9. Heh, you guys and your fancy clocks. All I want is a Chelsea Ship's Clock, which unfortunately are insanely expensive for good examples.
  10. My experience with Fox Confessor is that it is very much an acquired taste. A few of the songs grabbed me at first listen but it's one of those albums that grew on me to the point where I now rank it very highly. I'm 90% sure I'll be buying the vinyl of Middle Cyclone and sending it to Rain Man Records for a rip.
  11. Steve, Just remember that you do not recall. That is your answer for everything. I do not recall. Repeat after me, I do not recall.

  13. Relying on me for electronics advise is kind of like leaning on green tree for support. I'm happy to help where I can but I haven't looked at this project much and can't keep track of what you guys are looking at for a target. I think what needs to be ironed out before any ordering/paying/whatever goes on is a core set of components that everyone agrees will be part of the SE and Balanced packages.
  14. Sounds to me like your typical single primary, dual secondary unit.

  16. Are you trying to be a jackass now? Before, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt that your completely inappropriate approach of a manufacturer was relatively innocent. You're rapidly changing my mind.
  17. Yikes, I wonder how high that impedance curve goes...
  18. I did my best to clean up the former mess that was this thread, let's see if we can't stay remotely on topic.
  19. Swallow The Sun - Hope
  20. All you have to do is call your CC and have them authorize another address. I did it for my work address which is now confirmed through paypal as well.
  21. Unashamedly.

  23. And the issue being hashed out for me is why would "a little bird" would wish to cast the 307A in the light of being made up from readily available parts? Of course it is, there's hardly an amp of any kind made that isn't founded in generic parts available online. There's only so exotic one can get without being just plain stupid when it comes to passives. In this case, no effort was made to be particularly exotic in component selection, and the ad copy is unapologetic about that. The goal was to use what sounded good, not what sounded good on paper. My opinion, having heard the amp extensively at CanJam FLA is that Pete succeeded. Just like I thought Craig had done very well with the design of the Balancing Act I heard there too.
