Your recent music purchases
Amanda Palmer and Murder By Death - Limited Edition Split 7" Vinyl Yeah, yeah, I don't even have a vinyl rig setup so I'll be shipping this to Rain Man Records for ripping. But what's not to love about Amanda Palmer teamed up with Zeo Keating even if it's only for one song? And MBD covering Ms. Palmer doesn't exactly hurt my feelings either.

HD800? Another rumor?
I found the recipe for Cinnabon rolls but decided not to make that variety, they just use an insane amount of sugar. Like three to four times the normal amount.

DIY Mini Meet in Austin
Steve, We need to do something about those screws you used no the XLR. I have some #4 screws that should work, I'll send a few your way (with any other options I have) to use on this and other projects.

Graduation Day - The Tubelab Simple SE project begins...
I've got an old massive one now but for my shop and my projects a smaller lathe would be infinitely better.

I'd also like to take a minute and thank both Nelson Pass and Jon Ver Halen (Lowther America) who have been exceptionally generous with their time in helping me with the Cicada issue. Without their help I'd have no options right now. Not that it was ever in doubt but they are both class acts.

DIY cable gallery
Thanks for the kind words guys. Stretch, I see what you did right there. Greg, I find the key to a uniform braid is as simple as having a solid anchor point. That lets you have a consistent tension on the wires and keep the same relative angle as you progress.

We'll see. It has a damaged cone (unclear exactly how much) but it works so it's a step in the right direction.

Mowed the grass for the first time this year (and so it begins...)- DIY cable gallery
I needed some IC's for the soldering rig (lent out my loaner cables) so I whipped these up last night. I think I will call them the Dusty Chalk series. 24ga solid core Neotech UPOCC in PVC w/ Neutrik RCAs.- What did you do today?
Did not get new lathe, still have old lathe, may get new lathe today if I have time. Lily rules all.- Graduation Day - The Tubelab Simple SE project begins...
Oh I've already got one, I just want a different one.- What did you do today?
Wife denied lathe access due to the fact that Lily had a play date and her playroom is directly above my shop.- What did you do today?
Took the day off from work, worked on the tractor.- The Headcase Stax thread
This thread has officially jumped the shark. Comparing the difference between the two versions of the O2 as has just been done is insanity. Do they sound slightly different, yes, but I'd say they are more the same than different especially when properly driven. - What did you do today?
