I'm hopeful at the rumored price drops for data plans come true, that'd make it brutally tempting to pick up a used one. You'd think that AT&T would be trying to wrap up as much market share as possible given the rampant rumors of a Verizon Iphone.
I don't understand the "smaller than expected" comments, did you guys not just pull out a ruler to see how big it was going to be from the dimensions given on the site? Or is it smaller than those dimensions would indicate?
Just apply what we've heard so far Stretch, it has ~100db of attenuation compared to the standard ~60db so it's able to have a higher gain but still provide ample adjustment for sensitive phones. Hence, no gain switch required, its "range" if you will is unprecedented.
Does Newark still bend you over with shipping? I'll never forget ordering parts for two PIMETAs and having them arrive in a box the size of steamer trunk. I used that box to store every project I worked on for the next 3 years and only threw it away when I moved.
Well, I got the same email today but no cases so I guess they still get it sort of right. Although my account said "shipped" the day after the purchase so I'd say they were a little generous there.
250V, 2000VA Variac.
Also approved completion on the restoration and calibration of the soon-to-be-mine B&K 700. While cosmetically challenged, it's a beast of a tester and will be as-new electrically when it arrives and good for another 30+ years of service.
I was talking about the fancy display.
Thanks for the link and as usual, nice work!
I'd be very curious to hear your thoughts about that kit and how it performs. Reading that thread has always left me with kind of a mixed bag of impressions.
I'll be arriving then as well but heading into town with my little sister. I'll try to get on site reasonably early Saturday morning and catch up with HD800 fever.
