I believe there are currently no less than 4 sets of cups that were heretofore abandoned because they were too thin to drill. I think they all stand a good change of being able to be milled on the chuck. And Steve, yes the chuck is the tits, especially with the soft jaws.

I'm very curious to see what they are since if aluminum I'm not sure whether or not I will make them into a complete woody as I did my HF-1s. Of course I've also been back at the lathe recently enjoying the flexibility that the new Nova Chuck offers. My tall friend from Mass might be particularly interested in that...

I believe I got mine from wirecare.com, but I'd have to look to be sure. The size that I use most is 3/16 I think, I'll double check that for you as well. I'm still working off the 200' spool a bought a year ago but there's less left than I thought... For IC's I think I've found my favorite in 24ga UPOCC in PVC. The last batch I got from Take5 had a thinner pvc jacket than some of the other stuff that I've gotten from them and worked really well. Not good for headphone cables though. For headphone cables I really want to try 28ga UPOCC in teflon, that'll probably be what ends up on my HF1s or 2s. If you want to try UPOCC let me know and I'll get you some with my discount.

They're interested in generating future sales. My guess is that the idea is that creating this brief run of headphones is a way to grow the brand in general while giving back to Head-Fi. Moving forward what they want are sales that don't come with a $40 penalty off the bottom line. Don't act like a jackass unless you want to be treated like one.

My guess is that orders have already started to taper off and will be anemic by the end of this week. I'd expect that once impressions and pictures from CanJam start coming out there will be a second surge that's smaller than the first. I'd also guess that they won't be for sale much longer than the month of June as demand will have been filled by then and that the run will end up about the same size as the HF-1.

Something seems pretty odd about that. The outer knob appears to only engage the silver portion of the shaft leaving the brass colored portion to be controlled by the rear knob. Since they're both the same splined design it seems to me the only reason for the set screw would be to keep the knob from being pulled off, not to allow it to turn the shaft.

Those both look like press on knobs.
