I can certainly think of better places to have watched the second half of the Pats game. Otherwise I'm just happy that it's mostly painless. I'd like to think I'll be out of here before too long - it's been over a hour already.

Overpriced? I liked the Wadia CD player that I had well enough, it was built like a tank and had a pretty unique feature set (built in remote preamp, digital inputs) but Wadias in general seem to command a premium price. Especially the older stuff. About the only piece of gear that I'd like to own made by Wadia is the Ipod Dock.

I would not suggest using a beta, regardless of gain with the JH13s. While their 119db is not the most sensitive I've seen with IEMs if there's even a hint of background noise in your amp or source you're going to hear it. The idea that he was showing them off driven balanced at RMAF is pretty crazy.

I guess I'm the exact opposite then. When I'm at home I don't want or need any ambient attenuation and the Lambda Sigs are pretty damn comfy.

[wet blanket] You know, despite everyone universally loving these things I am still struck by zero desire to sell my soul and get a pair and I'm surprised that so many seem to be doing so. I mean who wouldn't expect them to sound great at ~$1100+? Do they sound better than other $1100 headphones? Right now everyone says yes, but seriously what happens when Jerry (or whomever) launches the next great audio earpiece that has 8 double-stuffed drivers for super extra awesome yummy goodness? For folks that spend a ton of time listening to IEMs I get it but for everyday headphones, no fracken way. Ok, enough out of me.[/wet blanket]

This reeks of insanity to me. A) there's no way it would stay current, no one keeps their profile/sig current, why would they do any different with a spreadsheet? It'd be way to easy for someone to accidentally delete data they didn't intend to and render the whole thing null and void. Good idea, sure, but impossible to manage.

You do know that I actually own one of those POS cables, right. One of these days I'm going to cut the connectors off of it and use it for a nice cable.

So far I'm not sad about my purchase, that's for sure.
