Sally, you need to give it a rest with all this SP 274B stuff. If an amp is transformed by the rectifier in place it has some pretty big issues. The Woo is built well so I know it doesn't have those issues. And yes, I've rolled all sorts of rectifiers and damned if I can hear a difference outside the normal day to day fluctuations we all undergo.

There are places in a circuit where it makes sense to spend $$ and places where it does not. So it's very much a "pick your battles" type of thing and also it's also far less of a decision when even the cheapest alternative isn't that much less than the boutique alternative. Paying Mikhail $1000 for V-caps never made any sense to me but when the decision is spend $20 for generic Solen caps or $60 for Silver Unicorn Impregnated Baby Whale caps I say eff the whale and spend the extra dough.
