  13. Being gullible and wanting a simple, straightforward GUI are not necessarily the same thing. False. I can count the number of times my Mac has crashed on one hand whereas I've lost count of how many times my Windows OS laptop has gone down. Not to mention the propensity for system updates to require reinstalling the entire OS (that's already happened once in 16 mo). You're killing yourself, you know that, right? Do you think that you're talking to a bunch of idiots or blind fools here? I don't know why I'm bothering, really, since at this rate you've got one foot in the grave.
  14. Way to fall into your own trap and make a stupid dumbass comment like that and kill your own credibility.
  15. Heaven forbid they try and have a little fun with it. I'm at least interested to see what they do with it and hope it fares better than the podcast idea.

  18. Jesus Peter, sensitive much? I was honestly curious because I've had issues with them in the past as well and was wondering if the solutions that I'd found would help you deal with your problems. I know use a program called TouchFreeze that disables the touchpad while you type and it has worked wonders. You just have to remember to turn it off if you want to game or perform tasks that require simultaneous mouse and keyboard inputs.
  19. While not at all double blind I can tell you that I've heard DACs with both USB and Coax inputs and have definitely preferred the Coax input to the USB. Specifically this was noted when listening to the Headroom Balanced Amp/DAC. I think Tyll has admitted as much publicly as well. Now I won't say this is a jitter related finding but there was something different about them.
  20. Could you explain your hatred? I'm trying to understand what there is to hate.

Amazon keeps trying to make me pay for those MP3s...
  23. The seller seems like a good guy and it appears as if I'll only be out return shipping shortly (which I volunteered to cover). Now as a wonderful aside I spoke with Noble electronics yesterday about the EAD DAC that I bought and they confirmed that it is not working correctly adn should be sent in for repairs. Perhaps it's time I get the TT out of the closet?
  24. Unfortunately not. I took the cover off last night and everything looks to be ok but the CD simply refuses to cue/spin up. I had the meter on the motor as I pressed play and there is no voltage being applied so something is definitely pissed. There is almost no point in fixing it. Just to get someone to sneeze on it would cost more than 1/3 of what it cost not to mention shipping it back and forth to the repair place or any parts (if available) that might be required. Here's to hoping the seller honors his statement that he'll give me a refund if I return it. If so I'm swearing off sources for a while.
  25. I don't know, but there are not words in any language to describe how pissed I am right now. I even unpacked it earlier to make sure it powered up and the drawer opened before lugging the fucking 23lb beast home. I should have known better than to tempt fate. My luck with digital equipment is spectacularly bad.
