That's a solid idea right there, he's good people and a member here @HiGHFLYiN9.

How soon will you start shipping dressed lumber to smaller stick smashers?
-
Jacob, Please don't send them in. That's a recipe for disaster and unrecoverable error. Patience sucks, but as you said, making a bad choice renders them worthless to you. They're not worthless now. Nate

The stroke has clearly affected short term memory.

^^^ Was he shot by the laser?

Looking forward to pics from both of you. That's quite the stack, Naaman, and those top two slabs on the left are pretty fricken epic.

Seriously tempting... Hilarious that they're still selling refurb pairs for north of $1k.

Jacob, I think I commented the last time, can't remember honestly, so pardon the duplication if needed but the issue may quickly become how hard they are to separate and work on. I seem to remember some of the Grados not taking kindly to trying to separate the driver housing from the other half and never having worked on RS-1s before that's the thing that makes me the most nervous. The internets seem to say that this isn't an issue but I remember trying and failing to open one set of Grados and fearing that the heat and force used couldn't have been good for the driver. Anyway, sadly for me work is such a shit show right now that there's no way I could usefully offer to help. I've overextended myself and will be paying the price for that for a while. If somehow bandwidth frees up and you're still looking for help I'll respond here.

Ok, one asshat has been given a timeout. If further are required I'll get out the .

Purchase the stuff, unless he wants a mint for it.

Looking great, Marc. Looks like the little motor infill panel worked out. 😁

Decided to use the new air fryer as God intended - donuts. Liberal extra glaze applied, hence messiness. The first few looked pretty standard but were consumed quickly.

Tee hee hee, but sadly my offer was not accepted and the listing got one bid in the waning minutes. It's ok, I think I've found the motivation to get the Thorens out of storage and see if it still works.

^^^ Thanks Steve, foolish offer sent.

Here's what I'm up to - taking maximum advantage of working from home. Redeye and toasted coconut chocolate chip scone Traeger preheating for pulled pork
-
^^^ Here's to hoping that means at some point you can swing out to the east coast and we can enjoy boxed wine and decent BBQ?
-
The Traeger makes that part too easy. Going to double down on all the smoked meat this week and prepped a pork shoulder to cook while teleworking tomorrow.

Same. Better late than never, right?

Appreciate the positive attitude Reks but I'm not sure I foresee a time when I can spend that kind of coin on a watch I'd be unlikely to wear. A quick look says that it's a $10k to $15k watch, used, which makes it a complete nonstarter. Lovely piece, and like I said, total Grail for me. I've loved the 007 watches for for a quarter century or more now.

Not for nothing but usually the solution is a better grind. For starters, I'd give a slightly coarser grind a shot, assuming you're grinding your own. Next step would be to pour through a fine mesh filter or strainer. I still end up with just a bit of sludge in the bottom of my French-press produced coffee but I don't find it bothersome.
