  1. I think there are good and bad places to have PCBs made and the "where" part of the equation doesn't have much to do with it. Imagineering has a proven track record of producing quality boards, that's good enough for me.
  2. Chances are roughly 1:3.

Honestly, no clue. A quick google of reviews did yield positive comments but if it were me I'd dig further before laying out any cash.

  6. Can one of you poke #'s and remind him to hit the post office today between fits of drunkenness? kthxbye
  7. That logic doesn't fly with my wife. If I say stuff like that she just says, "Well, that guy is a moron." Thereby implying that I'd be a moron to expect that saying something like that in any way paints me in a better light.

Damn that's tempting but I think I'm better off saving that $100 towards some customs (not the effing JH13's, ye' rapid crazies you)
  11. Yeah, you could certainly do it that too and probably save some $$. It'll depend on how difficult the installation is, ours is mounted in the basement and then routed up to the kitchen sink.
  12. They are pretty easy to add after the fact if you're just concerned about drinking water Haj. I think it cost us $700 to have one put in when we bought our house 4 years ago. Shop around though, we got estimates of almost double that.
  13. My condolences Mike, travel safe.
  14. The Oppo BDP-83 is probably the only other player I'd consider and it's 1.5x the cost of the PS3.
  15. I've started looking at what it'll take to hardwire my PS3 since wireless performance in my house seems to be not so great and I really do hope to try the Netflix streaming option soon. So when I playback music it's usually off of a thumb drive and that's where the annoying alphabetical syndrome comes from.
  16. Actually one of my mine gripes with the PS3 is how awful it is at handling audio. It sorts tracks alphabetically, wtf is up with that? I've looked and can't find a way to change this in any setting and somewhat surprisingly see very few references to it online.
  17. Bit of a bummer? Who cares if you have to throw a disc in to enable streaming? Are you seriously that effing lazy?
  18. It is your best interest to at least make someone else do some leg work on it. This refi will end up saving me $100k in interest over the life of the loan.
  19. The company that already holds our mortgage actually offered the easiest program without even asking, they sent us a letter. My assumption is that they are doing whatever they can to maintain their good customers even if it means less $$ for them (lower interest rate, no closing costs, etc.).
  20. Started the process of refinancing our house as re-convinced myself that any large transaction involving a bank is essentially a racket. Example: After 2 days of back and forth here's where I ended up with one lender. Me: Ok, the rate looks good, monthly payment is good, so what would the closing costs be on that loan? Loan Officer: $2200 Me: So that's all I'd be liable for at closing? LO: Well, that and any fees. Me: Fees? Like what? LO: Title insurance. Me: How much is that? LO: $1000 (this is NH's fault, not his) Me: Ok, that is what it is, anything else? LO: Well, with the loan we're looking at right now there's also a funding fee. Me: What does that amount to? LO: $5000 Me: Wait, what? LO: Yes, the lender charges a funding fee based on the amount of the loan. Me: That's ridiculous. LO: [silence] Me: I think it's safe to say that I have no interest in that program. LO: [silence] So I ended up back at square one which is a program that lowers my rate over 1.25% and has exactly zero fees associated with it. What a waste of time.
  21. Probably makes a lot more sense, at least to me it does.
  22. Last week was such a disappointment. I'll get you in the playoffs, Jeff!
  23. Looking great Kevin!

Leave the case propped open for a few weeks, it'll mostly go away. Neither of mine smells much any more and they are great for meets if nothing else.
