  1. Keith Jarrett is one of the few that I can digest and enjoy. Probably in large part due to my love of the piano.
  2. I've had mixed luck with the black oxide (non-stainless) coating and rust after very short intervals. I'm giving stainless a shot, hoping it'll do what it says and stain less.
  3. Great panels! If I may make a suggestion, even if you line up all of the screws I still think flat blade screws detract from the overall greatness. If it were me I'd drop $5 at McMaster Carr and get a box of part #92210A108. You could order another box in black for use with the IEC and I'd just about guarantee that you'll end up using them on other projects too.
  4. Keith Jarrett - Paris / London: Testament
  5. Somewhat off the wall solution: netbook w/ new HD as music server? You can pick up a refurb 9/10" netbook for ~$200, spend less than $100 on a new 500GB HD and call it a day. Example* config: ASUS REFURB EPC900HDB-BLK003X Eee PC intel celeron m 353 / 1gb ram / 160gb hdd / 8.9" wsvga LED display / xp home / 0.3mp webcam (*refurbished product w/3 month warranty) from mwave.com + WESTERN DIGITAL WD5000BEVT Scorpio Blue 500GB 5400 RPM 8MB cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" internal notebook hard drive (Bare Drive) from mwave.com *Please bear in mind, I didn't really try to put together anything special, just randomly selected two products to give you an idea.
  6. There are definitely times when the 13" screen is simply too small. If you're not schlepping this thing around on a daily basis I'd absolutely go for the 15". If portability rules the day then get the 13" and just accept it for the compromise that it is. cue grawk with his "13" is plenty big, too big in fact so he moved to a netbook."
  7. Maybe I can get my project done too and we can set them up together?
  8. Shit I hope so, that was kind of the plan when the rack makes its way home next year.
  9. I hate it when they get stuff to a location early and delay delivery. And yes, you should be able to pick it up at the distribution hub, I've had to do that when they couldn't find my office a few times.
  10. Me too.
  11. I certainly like mine.
  12. Your knowledge of the inner workings of Audiogon is truly inspiring.
  13. It's not broken again is it? I'll be if it is.

    Deals

They all came with the standard warranty so I don't see why they'd fail any more frequently. Otherwise they just doubly screwed themselves.
  15. Kristin Hersch - Hips and Makers Following the loose thread that is the song, Your Ghost.
  16. Greg Laswell - Covers EP A track off this was featured at the end of last week's Dollhouse episode so I decided to track it down.
  17. You do know my wife runs not 1 but 2 fantasy football teams and both are #1 in their respective leagues right?
  18. What can I say, my team sucks as of late.
  19. My team has fallen off some sort of cliff, I'm blaming you for jinxing me last week.
  20. Hmmm unbirthday eh? Quite the present you're getting for you unbirthday Ken!
  21. Yup, just about. I'm in a semi holding patter since if I go back to Verizon and pick up their data plan it'll be a family-wide change (wife too) and I'm not sure I want to be carrying around a $150/mo cell phone bill.
  22. Unfortunately they won't, these are the buffer bandwidth resistors on a Pimeta and anything larger can't get down in there. And I'm stuck matching the working board that I have which is why I'm hunting the specific 200ohm value.
  23. Thanks Naaman, it's not something before the end of the year really so if you have a chance to look when you get home that'd be great.
  24. Approved!
