Stretch, It would be cool, but if it's a hassle hauling it I'd understand given its "sold" status. I'll have a spare set of balanced outputs (the BHse will be fed SE ) so if you just want to bring the amp you can chain it off my gear. I'm not going to bring the twisted pear amp unless I can get the channel imbalance I'm fighting with fixed first.

Let me boil it down for you to its simplest form. You claim you performed a test. Your "test" was not a valid test and therefore it's results are nearly meaningless. Just because you performed a random series of events does not make it a valid test. If you would like to claim that you, through empirical data gathering, discerned that most users like a certain setup better than another that's fine. It's just not a conclusive result.

Enough about my stupid knee I say. Talked with the doc, we'll deal with this first thing Monday. In other news I flipped the switch on a certain high voltage amplification project and with the help of a slim guy on the way to the airport managed to get it biased up properly and confirm that all appears to be well. I have to wrap up some final input wiring details (hopefully tonight) and then I'll post a few pictures.

Does it generate an accompanying schematic that you could use to verify the connections?

Oh, the real joy here is that this knee was reconstructed 15 years ago. It's a been there, done that scenario unfortunately. Nice!

That was this morning's goal, go to the PCP and get a referral to an orthopedist and get an MRI/Xray. With all the calamity going on around here today that seems to be unlikely. At least we have power here, which is shocking since we're out in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks for the well wishes guys, the knee is not in good shape this morning, i.e. walking is not really an option. I had a 9am appointment with the doc, of course since about 90% of the surrounding area is without power they were of course closed. If it gets much below freezing there are going to be some truly hurting folks around here. On my way to the closed doc's office I had to drive through two areas of ~6" standing water across pretty main roads (each about 100' long) where the river had crested the banks. There was also some major tree damage as a result of the wind last night, I saw a few completely uprooted trees the largest of which had to be in the 16 to 18" diameter range. I'm now debating a trip the ER, but since it just started snowing I'm not entirely sure I'm up for dealing with that combination.

The meter on my Monster Power unit act like a Vu meter as the lights flick on and off. I did not realize that NH had a hurricane season, but evidently it does, in February.

Evidently I effed up my knee pretty good at the gym today. It had been bothering me in a minor way for the past few weeks, not enough to keep me from working out, just annoying. Today I was midway through a 5k run, cruising along at 7.5mph when all of a sudden wham, sharp pain. I hit stop and tried to shake it out, no joy, lifted for the remainder of the time I had. Now having sat at my desk for two hours I've got a pretty pronounced limp when I try to walk. Not good.

Yup, they should work just fine with any binding post setup to accept banana plugs. Spring-clip speaker terminals need not apply though.

I don't even notice it (it's not a heavy watch) unless the shirt I'm wearing has a particularly tight cuff.

At my cuff link, like every other watch that I own.

My Suunto is 49.5mm and no longer looks all that huge to me but part of that is that it's all black. I'd certainly never get anything larger and for a dress watch I'd go smaller.

My understanding is that if your wife works and takes FMLA leave than you would be ineligible. One of you can take it, but not both. Just be aware that FMLA leave is, by default, unpaid leave unless your company/employer has specifically adopted a policy for paid leave. Also, if you or your wife's company has fewer than 50 employees the company is exempt from offering FMLA leave. Google will be your friend on this but as a start you could do some reading here.

Good luck with that and make sure you do your own research. We almost had to involve a lawyer with my wife's school since the HR person got it wrong, not once, or twice, but three times and finally my wife had to quote the HR manual to her and send her a copy of it.

FS: Woo Audio GES - Lower price. - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio That wouldn't be a bad starting point, Jacob, if you could talk him down just a bit lower.
