Nit picker, but you're only half correct. Since an actual crime was (alleged) to have been committed Apple has very solid legal standing to pursue civil action against Gizmodo (assuming charges are filed and a guilty plea/verdict is the end result). If Giz had simply paid for access to information Apple's actions would be more limited and likely more focused on the source of the leak/theft. As I said before, my sense is that there's a multimillion dollar lawsuit coming at Gizmodo in the near future.

As was pointed out to me, Gizmodo's main mistake in all of this was paying for the property and not simply paying for the privilege of examining the property. If they'd done the latter Apple wouldn't be able to do squat.

Where from and how much? I was bummed to find that my Buffalo Link Station is damn near impossible to configure with Slim Server and I'd love a one box solution to that and the RND appears to support it natively.

Having experienced Fisher's service first hand I second this motion. They are, unfortunately, nice folks who don't do particularly great work. I just received my remolded triple-fi's back from their second refit (which too a month) and can't comment about the sonic aspect of things this time around but from what I heard the first time they were simply ok.

I'm not a lawyer but I'm guessing that Apple would have to have some pretty compelling evidence/reasons to get a judge to sign a warrant given the political and media implications of this action. This story just gets weirder by the day. [edit]I listened to some compelling arguments this morning for the case that Gizmodo did actual harm (in the monetary sense) to Apple and this search backs up that this may be Apple's position moving forward. I think we're likely to see a multi-million dollar case against Gizmodo claiming lost sales of current products as the primary reason.

It's both a blessing and a curse to have the extra time. On the one hand it'll make things less stressful than trying to get it all done in a weekend or whatever but on the other hand it'll draw the process out and make it seem like more of a burden. At least that was my experience. My advice would be to give yourself no more than a week to do the move, that's what we did and it seemed to drag it out long enough. Also, if you have any plans of painting rooms or anything like that do it before you move anything in. Congrats regardless and just keep in mind that it'll be over soon enough and that you'll quickly forget how much of a pain in the ass it is/was.

Currently drinking a quiet cup of coffee with the wife, Lily is staying with her Nana and Papa today (and last night). In a little while I'll once again start the yearly tradition of mowing the lawn.
