If you go into it expecting whatever Droid to be an iPhone you'll come away disappointed. If you go into it looking for a similar device, but with an open mind regarding how it goes getting from A to B you may be pleasantly surprised as I was. Neither is perfect, if you think the iPhone is perfect for you then there's nothing to be done. Seeing that you want a bigger screen, I'd suggest taking a long look at the Droid Incredible. It's not that much bigger than an iPhone, but has a much bigger screen. The Droid X will feel enormous to you, so I wouldn't recommend even looking there despite the even larger screen. My wife has the incredible, she loves it.

Droid X Although I suspect that you'll get better at the typing thing. Google's predictive text is much better than my iPhone ever was.

I'd argue Apple is already behind on several fronts, specifically notifications and multitasking to name a couple, so they'd better get moving with moving forward. Getting on Verizon is likely to bring a huge spike in sales for them, but my guess is that there'll be a big corresponding drop in AT&T phone sales if not customers. Apple is also starting to lose the hardware game, IMO. In summary - I've played with ios4 and the iPhone4, no thanks. If Honeycomb makes my phone even better than it's just an even bigger win that I dumped the iPhone when I did.

They did a bit more than that, don't you think? 10 years after the practical introduction of mp3 players and from where I sit, which is a decidedly non-apple-fanboy position, there still isn't anything better than an iPod for 90% of portable mp3 use.

Huh. Got cutoff by some jackass while entering the parking lot to pick up dinner, heard a clunk on the floor of the passenger's seat. When I got out I looked over - there was the missing iPod. I went through the car thoroughly last night and again tonight, with a fricken flashlight both times and scoured the area under that seat. So I have no idea where it was, but I'm happy it found its way into the light again.

Became pretty certain that my iPod was either stolen from my desk at work or out of my car. It's been MIA since Wednesday. Ugh.
