And now what did you do TODAY?
As previously bitched about I worked all of Saturday and most of Sunday. But it was worth it since I finished the work a day early and was able to enjoy the holiday yesterday. Ian, who also was stuck working with me this weekend, and I decided to venture to northern NH in search of some actual (non-man-made) snow. Turns out that Cannon Mountain, in Franconia, has actually gotten some 7' of snow this year and the skiing was pretty fantastic. The upper, more technical portion of the mountain, was blissfully clear of Massholes.

Advice on new speakers: ~75% HT -- ~25% music
I've long been a fan of paradigm if there is a dealer near you. I'd have a look at the studio 60 or 100.

Low Powered Amp for Speakers
If you don't need huge power these should work. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ICE-Power-50ASX2-Power-Amplifier-Bang-Olufsen-50-ASX2-/180663729671?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a1065be07 IIRC those are the same modules that Headroom uses in their desktop speaker amps and they're pretty easy to wire and make go.

i'm on a roll... the kgsshv
The nut is more isolated than the heat sink so I can't imagine how it'd be a problem.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Congrats Miguel. As for me, put in 9+ at the office, working from home now with the hope that 2 long days today and tomorrow will mean Monday off. About half-way done at 30 pages and by late tomorrow I'll be stuck waiting on information from two other evaluators that should have been transmitted Friday.

And now what did you do TODAY?
No, it's roughly the equivalent to writing a 60-80 page research paper.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Currently at work and will probably continue to be here for the next three days despite not being scheduled to work any of the three. The flip side is that it's $$, which is not a bad thing these days.

Congrat to Mike's daughter! (and you too Mike, you must be one proud papa today)- Happy Birthday SWT61
A very Happy Birthday to you Steve.- Ye Macce Threade
Correct. Not allowed to install anything.- Ye Macce Threade
The link works fine for me on old-and-busted IE so I'd think it'd work for anyone.- Happy Birthday Thrice

This. I'd wager the cables are about $600 overpriced.- And now what did you do TODAY?
Todd, if he gets it don't be fooled that it's over after 24 hours. Lily ralleyed yesterday and appeared fine for the first half of today but after her nap today she was back praying to the porcelin god. Andrew has unfortunately been pretty consistent in his need to get sick every night before bedtime but has at least been better during the day. And thansk for the well-wishes folks. I'm just achy and feverish (knock on wood) but this would be a really bad week to miss much time so I'm hoping that sleep will work wonders.- And now what did you do TODAY?
Currently laying on the couch looking for the truck that hit me. The flu has now kicked 3 of 4 asses in the house, not a fun weekend for this and other reasons.- ecp audio

There is no way on this earth I'd recommend buying an R10. Unless you just happen to like pissing away thousands of dollars.- Part Sourcing Assistance/Advice Thread
In addition to the new year issue be aware that shipping will either take a long time or be pretty expensive. If they didn't need to mat or pairs would work I might be able to help.- And now what did you do TODAY?
Sorry to hear that Dan, it's no fun. Hopefully Andrew is thru the worst of it. Poor little guy has just been a lump for the last 3 days (although sleeping, god bless him) but it finally hit Lily today and she's now a wreck and not able to keep anything including water down. It will not be good if I get it since I'm scheduled to work around 60 hours next week in support of award of 3 major projects. Here's to hoping it skips a generation.- And now what did you do TODAY?
Came home to not one, but two puking kids. Shitty end to a shitty week.- Ye Macce Threade
my comment was intended to be in the context of the ipad 2 providing an incredibly serviceable carry around media consumption device. That said I understand jeffs love of toys since I'm wired the same way. ultimately we'll have to wait and see what it is and what it costs.- Help With Amp and Headphone
^- Ye Macce Threade
My excitement about it would be directly related to price. It's hard to imagine that they can hold the same pricing structure if the screen rumors are true and my guess is that we'll end up with two tiers of iPads each with their own set of price steps. That said, I don't know what would motivate someone to buy one if the price creaps up against the Air. - And now what did you do TODAY?
