  1. My excitement about it would be directly related to price. It's hard to imagine that they can hold the same pricing structure if the screen rumors are true and my guess is that we'll end up with two tiers of iPads each with their own set of price steps. That said, I don't know what would motivate someone to buy one if the price creaps up against the Air.
  2. Yeah, I read the bad news when the album came out. It blows.
  3. Don't sweat it. Any sane employer will tell you to stay home when you're sick rather than in fact the rest of the office.
  4. I've never had any success doing that being the photosoftware newb that I am but I agree, some sort of combined dynamic range image is the only way I see that composition providing any detail of moon. Otherwise the brightness of the moon is going to get blown out when you try to accurately expose the remainder of the frame.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. Very nice build, congrat Steve.
  7. Ugh, I'm afraid that I have to revise this opinion. After listening all the way through several times I'm pretty disappointed. Generally the album strikes me as utterly forgettable. It just never gets going. Some songs start with great promise (the title track for one) but ultimately never deliver the same type of experience that other STS songs have for me. Other songs are borderline (if not outright) awful. The 2nd track, This Cut is the Deepest, is so weak that I regularly skip it and the opening line, "You're nothing but a shadow of the beauty what you used to be" is painfully ironic. Blech. In stark contrast the latest Draconian album, A Rose for the Apocalypse, is very good. My next hope lies with the upcoming Epica release due in March.
  8. I was being mostly serious. It's a highly-advanced pro-sumer body with features and specs that supercede the 300 in every respect that I can think of. The only thing that really needs improving upon would be the burst/continuous shutter speed and capacity, neither of which matters to me so I can't see spending 50% more for something like a 400. The only change that I want to make, but probably will never be able to afford, is the move to full-frame. In that vein the D700 is likely to be the last camera that Nikon makes that I'd want to own, the 36MP sensor on the D800 is a complete non-starter for me from a file-size-management perspective. I can't imagine what a RAW file would be like or the power needed to manipulate it.
  9. If you're up for building something you might have a look at whether or not the Simple SE boards are still available (or just PTP it).
  10. I think it's called the D7000.
  11. You're evil!
  12. Happy Birthday, Jeff!
  13. Holy shit. I wonder how many where without power as a result of that?!??!
  14. Marginally better than Schit, marginally.
  15. Enjoy the boat, looks like a great way to make memories.
  16. if you ever post something this dumb again I'll ban you permanently.
  17. I think that boards for this should be regulated in terms of who they are sold to, no joke.
  18. Happy BIrthday!

  21. Currently working on my taxes which are working out much better than expected. I worked a shade over 400hrs of overtime last year which natually threw off my income a bit.

  23. I'm listening now, it's not disappointing.
  24. Swallow the Sun - Emerald Forest and The Blackbird Oh hell yes.
  25. The 300 series of trafos tend to be very conservatively rated. I ran one in my modified Wheatfield and it while spec wise it was nearly identical to the 200 series that it replaced it was probalby 50% larger and ran much, much cooler. I ran one inside the Exstata that I built and didn't have noise or heat issues.
