  1. I've got a first gen Droid Incredible sitting at home that could probably be had for very cheap. It's spent it's entire life in a case with a screen protector so it looks like new (and still has the case with it).
  2. Happy Birthday Zach!
  3. Happy Birthday!
  4. I really need to look into re-fi'ing again before rates go up. It's been on my to-do list for 6 months... Sweet ride, Chris.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. If I still used headphones in the office I'd strongly consider these.

  8. Semi-serious reply... http://www.skullcand...rock-pink-black http://www.skullcand...buds-pink-black All your pink headphones belong to Skullcandy...
  9. The books are so effing long I just coudn't stay with reading/listening to them. So far the only thing that Martin seems to be the master of is the protracted story arc ended in spectacularly frustrating fashion (I'd go into specifics, but can't manipulate spoiler tags from work). I can't even remember what book I stopped at anymore... but I don't want that sort of long term frustration in my television viewing, despite the boobs to occassionally cheer me up.
  10. Yup, I prefer the Garmin and got the whole route thing worked out yesterday which was cool. If you have questions just sk and I'll try to help.
  11. It was a nice ride, but would have been much nicer today with temps in the mid 50's and sun. Oh well, it only took an hour for my feet to thaw. As for the map, I use another program in addition to the Garmin to track rides called Runkeeper. It uses the GPS on the phone which I always have with me anyway. But you can get very similar stuff using Garmin connect. Another option, and one that I use to plan rides, is Mapmyride which is very similar to Runkeeper but has a great web interface to help plan rides. The route that I planned yesterday was pretty convoluted and I never would have thought to weave my wall through all of that to get to 25miles. It was nice to minimize the time on major roads.
  12. The wife took the kids down to her parents today for an Easter egg hunt and I was granted a hall pass. So I vacuumed, did laundry, took one of the cars to get inspected, did some grocery shopping and oh yeah, decided that 44 and snow flurries was the perfect weather combination for a 25 mile ride. It's the farthest I've gone by far but I hope to do a two day century at the end of the summer so I figured I'd better start putting a few miles in.
  13. Happy Birthday, Doug!!
  14. I do miss the combination of the O2 and BHse. And I'm sorry, Audeze has completely lost my interest at this point with Vx of this/that and the other thing. At this price point (and substantially below it for that matter) I expect a polished, finished product that won't need to be revised/tweaked immediately after release.
  15. A very happy birthday to you, Doug!
  16. Everyone working on projects like this should have a set of these (or similar).
  17. 1. In my opinion the power supply is definitely part of the signal path in the following sense - any noise generated by the power supply is likely to find it's way into the signal path. 2. Boutique capacitors, unless they provide better ripple rejection or other characteristic, are in my opinion wasted on a power supply. So my is the same as above, use proven high quality capacitors designed for the intended application.
  18. Actually, I found the iPad to be the perfect midnight companion while dealing with he-who-doesn't-sleep. With the smart cover I'd simply have the iPad sitting on a pillow next to me on the low incline and I could manipulate it with one hand while feeding jr or just letting him rest on me. He and I probably watched 4 or 5 Top Gear series among other things over last summer when thnigs were really bad (from a sleep perspective). It would have been impossible to do the same with a laptop and the TV produces way too much light/distraction to have on. [edit]your link doesn't work for me but that could be my fault.
  19. It's the little things (well, sometimes anyway)... Today's random smile - I've been trying to sell an old Adcom 2ch preamp/tuner that I have for the last year. I listed in on Craigslist for next to nothing, offered it on various audio websites for stupid cheap and got absolutely nothing. So this weekend I decided that I'd be fine if someone just paid shipping to get the thing out of my house and threw it up on Ebay. I've got shipping comfortably covered in the auction and started it at $.99 with no reserve. Some fool has already bid it up over $30. WOOT! On a more serious note most of my days start with the same thing which is waking Lily up to get her ready for the day. That generally consists of crawling into bed with her and snuggling for a while. Some mornings she's cranky but most of the time she's in good spirits if not downright funny. My favorite quote from her recently as we made our way down to the dining room to get her some breakfast, "Dad, if I had 5 bellies I could eat 5 breakfasts."
  20. Just think, at head-fi this thread would be 42 pages long with no solution. Congrat Doug!
  21. This.
  22. Try again.
  23. 2 thumbs up for me.
