  1. Cue aerius... Mine are pretty quiet too, definitely not silent but nothing that I care about.
  2. It's about to go mud season here, where the combination of the ground thawing and melting snow turns everything into a goopy mess. So I'd guess, depending on how wet the next few weeks are, that I'm a good month away from being able to ride off road.
  3. Best I can tell is that every day Flickr chooses the top 500 most interesting (as defined by them) pictures to highlight. So if you go to Flickr.com and click explore at the top you'll see today's "explored images". So in a nutshell Ari's photo was badass enough to be one of the best/most popular/discussed/shared/or other images of the day. Tres cool in my book.
  4. This. I can't wait to get the MTB out again.
  5. Looking very cool, Vicki. I can't imagine the excitement/anticipation. Me: got out for a nice 25ish mile ride after work today. It was windy but I managed a decent pace and felt pretty good. Temps over the weekend and into early next week are supposed to get into the low 60s which would be outstanding. I'm hoping that next week I'll get my first ride into work.
  6. I'd try to get a free tool to analyze your disc for recently deleted files. If there are fragments they should be able to be located and hopefully recovered.
  7. I couldn't get used to the heavily menu based controls of m43. I guess I'm old-school enough to need dials to rapidly change exposure settings. I shoot 99% of the time in A priority and fiddling with ISO and Aperture are regularly required. I was also really disappointed with the low-light shooting performance. Don't get me wrong, I understand the appeal, but it just didn't work for me at all.
  8. It's pretty generous that they offer price matching at all in my book. Prices change, you rarely get to buy at the rock bottom of the market unless you're really lucky. I understand the frustration of having the price go down the minute you buy something but it is what it is.
  9. Jacob, Do you not have a primary care physician? It's almost impossible to get timely care without one in my experience.
  10. Gene, No brand advice but try a trip to the LBS to see what they have for padded MTB shorts. That's what I used for a while, but they still have internal lycra of a sort to keep the padding in the right place. You should be able to find something in a ninja black.
  11. I'm not sure I can agree with the humble shop comment considering he parks a bright orange Lotus in the middle of it.
  12. Yeah, it was very much like middle of December today. Thankfully it supposed to be in the mid 50s on Thursday so I've got a nice ride planned for after work.
  13. No worries, Ric, they bounce back remarkably quick and as long as they sleep the super cuddles that you get sometimes make for fun memories all their own. I'm sure she'll be back to unthinkable levels of cuteness before you know it.
  14. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch that come together, Vicki. Congrats again.
  15. Hang in there gents.
  16. The crank that I have is setup for GXP (a SRAM specific BB) but should (I think) work with an english threaded frame. Granted, it'd require a new BB that I don't have which is probably enough to mean that you shouldn't go down that road. If you figure out what you're actually running for a BB I can probably hunt down a used compact crank for you. Regardless if you want to talk cassettes just shoot me a PM. They're pretty easy to come by on the bike nerd forums.
  17. Dan, If I read that right you aren't sure if you running a compact front yet. I've got a SRAM Apex compact that might work for you too depending on your BB.
  18. Happy Birthday!!
  19. Dan, if that cassette ends up causing too many adjustment issues I have a 11-28 that I could swap with you. It's what I've been riding so far this year and while not as nice as the 32 it's still pretty good on the hills. I can't remember what you're coming from but I think it was a close ratio, right?
  20. Please take it easy Boo, I just want you to have fun this year without any major setbacks.
  21. This! It was gorgeous here today but Easter activities occupied most of my free time.
  22. Brent, I wear XXL for most euro-built cycling gear. At 6'-1" I guess I should weigh 150lbs or something in order to fit the mold that is used for cycling clothing.
  23. That's the difference between wife+kids/no-wife+no-kids.
  24. Damn Raffy, that's impressive. I've clocked 120 miles for March and feeling pretty good given the fact that we've had snow multiple times and the average daytime temps are still in the 40s. My goal for April is 200...
