  1. Yes, that's what I'd do. I guess what I was kindi of saying is that I don't get the point of the speed or expense of an SSD for a media server that is largely going to sit idle or have what I would assume to be really limited processing or read/write demands on a daily basis.
  2. Those views do look nice, Mike. I can't wait to take a semi-vacation in a couple of weeks. I don't get to take the whole week off (change of command at work) but will be off most of the week thankfully.
  3. Thanks, it's remarkable how much better I feel without that damn thing inside me. And yes, the offending object was captured and will be turned into the doc today for further study (if necessary). Despite the lithotripsy the stone appears to have come out nearly whole. I took some quick measurements (turn away if you're squeemish) and it's a little over 1/4" (~6.5mm) long and at it's widest about 5/32" (4mm) in diameter. Not small. Lesson - I will be drinking a lot more water for the foreseeable future.
  4. ^^^ Nice. Me - apparently just passed a kidney stone. It was...not pleasant, but far less painful than having it in my kidney. I've been feeling pretty marginal for the last 5 days or so and wonder if this wasn't at least part of the cause.
  5. Where does one acquire a 2TB SSD? Otherwise I'm stuck with spinny things.
  6. There doesn't appear to be any news items related to this yet.
  7. Heck yes this deserves its own thread. Cheers to a long, happy life together Mr. and Mrs. Posty!
  8. Happy Birthday guys!

    This makes me happy!
  10. Cool pics, Jeff. You're quite good at the panning action thing. That's something I can't do for squat.
  11. Nice, John. He was certainly a class act when he was here in Boston.
  12. Did my 38 mile beach loop today. It's hot and humid today, 85+ with 60% humidity, so I wasn't expecting great things. Turns out it was almost 10 degrees cooler at the coast so I hammered those 5 miles and manage near 19 for the whole ride. Of course I've been home for a half hour, showered and I'm still sweating.
  13. Excellent news, Steve. Mike, I'm sure it was a tough trip but a proud one as well.
  14. That's hot.
  15. Most Euro stuff runs one to two sizes small but usually they tell you that in the description, like a XXL covers 34-36" or something only cyclists would consider XXL. In this case it appears that Giordana runs true to more traditional sizing. My waist is right around 36", unfortunately my thighs are probably about 24", each. Finding shorts that fit in general is damn near impossible.
  16. The sizing chart says XXL fits like a 40-44" waist. Just how fat do you think I am?!?!
  17. Happy Birthday Justin!
  18. Well, based on the information posted in this thread color me seriously uninterested.
  19. Yes, it really does.
  20. I'm eyeing a bike purchase for my 40th birthday, probably a custom of some sort, maybe a Calfee. I've got a few years to mull it over.
  21. Hopefully Tyll will get a set of these to circulate through the IF framily for impressions. They're probably late enough to the game that they're going to have a hard time competing unless it's a pretty spectacular debut at a low price point.
  22. Raffy, Bear in mind that the HT on my Roubaix (a 58cm frame) is 225mm.
  23. I'm useless to you for that type of judgement, I just saw a shortish TT and thought of you.
  24. Paging Mike - ~58CM Calfee w/ a short top tube. http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=131858
  25. I use Pedro's Ice Wax as well. Got it cheap off Chainlove. I use another Pedro's wax but I can't remember which. It's more viscous and I basically use it to clean the chain more than anything else. But generally I'm pretty lazy with chain maintenance.
