Yeah, it's wireless and there's no good way to wire it without doing something via the AC outlets.

Breakfast with the kids, brunch with my dad and just got back from a bike great. Great day. Sorry Jacob, will this change the planned move or is it still time to get out of Dodge?

Decided to see if I was feeling better today after a good 9+ hours of sleep last night. The result - 38.2mi @ 19.1mph average. I went out to the coast and headed up a 5.5mi stretch of Rt.1A and had a nice 5-10mph tailwind the whole way. I'd guess I average about 24mph for that stretch of the ride (based on data) and it felt good. Of course that tailwind became a headwind for a good portion of the ride home but I still managed to hammer through it. I didn't look at my speed or HR for the entire ride and rather just rode what felt like an aggressive, but comfortable pace. The commute to work tomorrow morning may be painful.

Happy Father's Day, Dads!

The B's got spanked in the first period. Just dominated, plain and simple.

I was feeling pretty lethargic today but dragged my ass for a quick 18 around town. Hopefully I'll get in a longer ride tomorrow and have more energy. I did PR my new favorite sprinting hill, despite the general feel of the ride but I was well and truly shagged after that. Jeff, when all else fails I find that anger helps get me back on the bike.

Glad to hear about the good things for folks, but that ^^^ doesn't look good.

Might be worth seeing what Doug has cooking when the time is right, Jacob.

Posty, The beta will drive the hd800s just fine in that configuration.

My PS3 is a glorified multi-media device as it's the easiest way to get Netflix and Prime Streaming on the TV. If the PS4 can improve on those features (as well as BluRay playback) I'll probably buy one and move the PS3 to the secondary living room so that I might actually be able to game on it again. Not that I have any time to do that...

I need to track some of this stuff down.

Happy Birthday!!

I'd just settle for unthrottled regular high-def from the various cable providers.

You also have an advantage, there's no uphill. Pfft, my dad rides a Salsa Vaya and loves it. He's been cranking this year and put in a 100+ last week, basically putting me to shame.

Well, at least we know he's not competing for the starting QB job. I don't get whey they're wasting anything on him, time money or otherwise but what do I know?

Cool, Ari. Me - commuted to and from work today and put in a reasonable effort on both 20mile trips considering it was the 3rd straight day of riding (90 miles in total). I averaged in the mid 18s on both legs and think that in a month or so I may take a crack at my current best pace for the ride in which I did at a tick over 20mph average.

If there was money to be made in making such a desktop computer I'd guess that Apple would be doing it.

Crappy, The best teacher that I ever had was an Indian guy named Shashi. He was brilliant Phd from Princeton that ultimately chose to teach highschool math and physics for reasons that remain a mystery. Anyway, while he was my teacher he met the love of his life, the German teacher at the highschool. Like you he was extraordinarily nervous about introducing her to his very traditional family - she was white, divorced, etc. So they dated for a couple of years and decided to get married and he finally took her to meet his family. It went very, very badly. He chose to honor his family's wishes and immediately ended the relationship. I saw what it did to both of them for the next two years and it wasn't pretty. She eventually moved on, got married, had kids and is happy. I don't think he ever really recovered and last I saw him (some 5 years ago) he was still single and more of a recluse than he was before. Bottom line, no one can really tell you what to do in your situation. My advice, follow your heart. Some of that is telling you to respect your parents wishes, some isn't. You need to figure out which part wins. My 2ยข, you're not going to spend the rest of your life living with your parents and you might just do that with Julie.

^^ Sounds like a great day. Ian, sorry to hear about the mechanical issues, at least you were already planning to take it in this week.

This morning was simply beautiful. 70 and sunny by 8am so I snuck out for the same 25 mile loop I did yesterday. Forced myself to do a tempo ride and kept my average HR at 150, which is very low for me. Still managed am average of 16.5mph which made me very happy. Also spent an hour and a half mounting the good wheels last night and the difference was very noticeable.

For me this is not a problem.

Got a nice 25 miler in this afternoon. And here's one more clip from Fort Rock earlier in the week.

Yeah, Mike that was my gripe with the two previous Android tablets that I had. The keyboard (and resulting lag) was just unacceptable.
