It's a 12 team league this year so the talent pool is pretty depleted after the first 2 to 3 rounds. After that you might as well blindly pick and not worry. Smaller, 8 team leagues end up with super deep highly competitive teams and that's what we had last year. Except I wasn't very competitive.

Those gauges are pretty trick looking. I don't think there's anything similar in GoPro's editing suite, not that I've bothered to try to film anything for a while. If I get back on the MTB this fall I hope to pick up a "chesty" and film some of those runs and in that case, the speedo probably wouldn't be very impressive.

Autodraft screwed me hard by selecting multiple backups with the same bye week as my starters. Yay.

You clearly do not remember how bad I am at FF in general. I draft poorly when I'm just trying to handle 1, two should be an epic failure.

Nice pic Shelly. I like the B&W better mostly because the noise in the darker parts is less intrusive (for me) in B&W vs. the color version.

Did basically a 24mi uphill ride to some friends for a BBQ. It was the first time on the Roubaix in a long time and it felt weird. Glad everything is ok Colin.

I'd go for #2, the bedrooms are much better and why do you need a balcony for when it rains all the time.

Chris, I've been having good success with Lily lately using a gently sloped portion of the yard to teach her balance and get rid of the training wheels. She's got the blue version of that bike and I think one size larger. Andrew hasn't exactly taken to his balance bike either this summer, which saddens me. I'm guessing next year he'll be on something with pedals. And if you can manage to pace yourself on the century you'll be ok. I had just enough time to recover from a stupendiously lazy July and hope to be ok next weekend on my century. I'll still be pretty watchful to eat and drink more than I think I need to avoid bonk/cramp issues.

That is pretty incredible. I looked at it this morning and it was a little over $300 at the time.

I spent some time working on the Calfee last night, specifically changing out the existing cassette (11-25) for an 11-28 to hopefully provide a little relief on the hills that I'll be facing in two weeks. I really wanted to give it a good shakedown ride to work today but sadly it was raining pretty hard when I got up at 5:45 so I bailed. Hopefully the weekend will provide an opportunity to get out for a bit.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean about one chance to get it right? My CO2 inflator has a trigger so you can meter out how much you put in and after filling one of my road bike tires there is certainly a lot of capacity left in the catridge. MTB might be a different story with larger volume but that comes at substantially lower pressure. Even pumping a road bike tire up with a small hand pump is no fun in my book.

I think this is the best advice. Pick up some cheap POS off CL or something like that and let the iPhone sit till you get back. As Marc said there's not guarantee the rice is going to work regardless of how long it sits for. I'd also plan for the phone's useful life to be severely shortened even if it does come back after the rice treatment. I wonder how much Gazelle will give you for a water-triggered 5?

My vote is 2 as far as # of keepers is concerned. 3 sounds like a lot and limits turnover year to year. Draft date doesn't matter a whole lot to me. I'm guessing we won't start before 8pm EST if not later which is better since I have to get kiddos to bed.
