Careful with the Mazda, Chris. My brother-in-law just had to replace the motor in their CX5, which might have the same motor as yours, and after doing some research they found out that it's not an uncommon problem but somehow hasn't gotten big enough to generate a recall or extended warranty issue. I think there's is an '10 or so but you might want to do a little searching on your own. All I really know is that it started with a head gasket and went very bad, very quickly.

I tried some local chorizo tonight, pan fried and made into quesadillas. It was very, very good.

Limited to 2000 per the listing.

Ack, better late than never. Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday! And it should be fixed now, robot buddy.

Busy day.... Got woken up by Andrew at 6am, managed to keep him in bed for another half hour but just. Made some scones to make the morning more tolerable. Converted the GTI to winter mode. Made 2 dozen rolls for family thanksgiving tomorrow. Put the snow blower on the tractor (partially complete, still need to do chains and weights). Yay for old Audi rims and nearly new tires at half the price of the tires alone.

No really surprising, Shelly. It's a lot of stuff in a very small (thin) space so they have to move some air to keep it cool. I'd try not to think about it as much as possible.

Happy Birthday, Nums!

Congratulations on selecting the wrong tool for the job and soldiering on.

I'd have a look at percy audio as a start.

Happy Birthday Alex!

Andrew can already work the on/off functions on the harmony. Lily can do pretty much anything with it.

Happy Birthday, Dinny!

Solid wood would likely be fine but I certainly wouldn't use anything green (freshly cut). It'd also be relatively challenging to get a parallel top an bottom using only a chainsaw... unless you're like, one of those type of chainsaw guys.

Happy birthday!

I actually tried to send Shelly a message about it earlier in the week but was in a meeting and got asked a question and subsequently forgot.

^^^ Not going to happen As for this, I'll explore the possibility but next year is already full of work-required travel which is likely to severly limit my mobility in the "fun" sense. That said, if I went I might attend part of the event but it would be the reason that I traveled.

Ahh, that explains it. And you're also right, the right tools for the job are going to be required to get even a half decent fix executed.

In case you thought I was kidding.

This. You need to take a DMM and figure it out for yourself. We'd just be guessing and that's as likely to be wrong as right. Well, maybe not exactly 50:50 but I can't be bothered to calculate the actual odds given the various scenarios. While it's not rocket science to fix them I'm not sure it can be done without some disassembly at the drive or trial and error. Otherwise you may wire the drivers out of phase. It does seem odd that at the exact puppy-chew-location that the grounds changed from separate to a single wire. And FYI - if you're going to copy and paste your exact post from HF you're not likely to find much help anywhere.

Trust me, Shelly, you don't want to go through the rabies protocol unless you really need to. 5 ER visits over 2 weeks and a needle each time is not fun, just from a wasted time perspective. Me - had the silly notion to watch TV tonight. Our X1/Comcast DVR kept throwing fits so I gave it the recommended reboot and now it won't connect to anything. Joy. So on a whim I called Comcast. They're so screwed they won't even take calls. It just has a short message that says something like, "We're sorry. We are currently experiencing higher call volumes than normal. Please try your call again later." Damn. I'm a glutton for punishment so I decided to see if their online chat function was working. Well, that at least let me enter a cue. Too bad there are, no shit, 1500+ people in front of me waiting to scream at someone. Or at least there were when I started typing this. I just looked, I'm now #1257, I'm sure it'll only be a few minutes before it's my turn...

I like the Rush quite a bit.
