  1. Ken, It's not uncommon for the shorts light to flash during testing. If you get a consistent short that's when there's a problem. The arcing that you witnesses might have something to do with putting a somewhat hot tube back into a live socket, but I'm not an expert about that. I'd try retesting that tube when it's stone cold and see what happens.
  2. Craig, IKEA Uk doesn't like folks in the US so is there a name for the product you were referencing?
  3. Because the saw costs $10, doesn't require software to use among other things?

Note - one of today's Woot deals is for a Bonavita BV1800SS coffee maker. About $30 less than what you can get it for on Amazon and allegedly one of the best drip coffee makers that money can buy and it's new, not refurbished. http://home.woot.com/

Heh, they're a little big for the office and likeTodd, I've already got speakers sitting around I don't use.
  6. http://www.mouser.com/Greenlee/Tools-Supplies/Tools/Punches-Dies/_/N-5ggeZ1z0zl5j But they have their limitations.
  7. Crikey, Todd. We got another 4" or so overnight but so far no rain, which is a good thing. Looks like it's basically over for now and there's no real snow in the immediate future.
  8. Happy Birthday, Dan!
  9. Jimmy is good people and not here to spout random, unfounded shit. I don't put much stock in meet impressions, especially given how many tend to be at NY meets but I doubt this thing sounds as bad as some are claiming.
  10. Sweet! I had an Elma in one of my amps, it was quite nice. Bummer about Shalco.
  11. Clearly my memory is a few steps short. Edit - Google says the Elma still has 24, got a link to the ones with 63?
  12. Mine was rebuilt before I bought it and is the older, more attractive cylindrical version. And I'd have a hard time with the Elma with only 24 steps.
  13. I used a 4ch Khozmo, but that's out of your budget and even if it wasn't I'm not sure I'd really recommend it.
  14. Happy birthday!
  15. With this lot one really must define not crazy or meaningful advice cannot be given. It'd also help to know if you need 2ch or 4ch since you can use either with the designs you're mentioning. Not everyone needs 4.
  16. Congrat, but please don't on that last bit.
  17. Me too.
  18. More first 2ยข is that I'd like to punch whomever keeps putting those goddamn locking Neutrik headphone jacks on everything. Fme I hate those things. They're ugly and a pain in the ass to use.
  19. Excellent news, Peter!!! You might consider posting a list of what you lost since some of us might have spares or connections that could help replace things at lower cost.
  20. Very, very nice, Jacob. Some day I will own an Omega, someday.
  21. Happy Birthday, Colin!
  22. This x^600.
  23. Happy Birthday, Steve!!
  24. Nice, Dan!
  25. I'm 95% done, just have to do state taxes. I'm on the plus side of the equation but not by much, the consequence of too much OTl
