  1. Just took my Spanish and French finals back to back. Fucked up my days of the week but everything else was fine. Done for the semester with nothing in the summer. Until med school starts.
  2. A few others from a couple of nights ago.
  3. A +1 for the Gillette Venus for head shaving.
  4. Thanks guys. Raffy, I had the camera stretched out with the strap against the back of my neck and I was leaning against a pillar. Standing free I would have never been able to do that.
  5. yay team red ring.
  6. Thanks Ari. It was essentially pitch dark with just a single light bulb right above the bike. The image was a wee bit underexposed but I was able to fix that a little in LR but can't get the ghosts of the camera shake from around the seat out Any suggestions on how to fix that region?
  7. Took my 50mm out to play tonight. 1600 ISO, f1.4, 0.5 seconds, handheld.
  8. I started watching the chicago brooklyn game and left it on the pan for too long. Now I have a piece of the burnt portion stuck in my throat and it is pissing me off with a constant reminder of my stupidity.
  9. Playing with the 50/1.4. The bokeh is nervous and hot sometimes but other times it's very pleasing. Don't know how to replicate the pleasing stuff but I haven't used it enough to notice what the variables are. Playing with HDR in Lightroom.
  10. Made a whole bunch of calls today. Everyone i know in the area seems to be safe and accounted for. Wtf is wrong with people? Honestly. Don't they have anything better to do with their lives. If you so feel the need to blow yourself up do it in a forest or a desert where you aren't hurting others. Fucking dumbasses.
  11. As Jacob said, I don't really feel the need to go into any menu's ever. Aperture = front wheel. Iso = rear wheel. Camera controls shutter speed in Aperture mode. In Manual, the shutter speed function goes to the rear wheel and the iso changes with the dedicated button.
  12. I have the same focal lengths as well. Zeiss 35/2 and 50/1.4 but like the 35 much better. The bokeh out of the 50/1.4 is considered nicer but I don't like it as much. I am trying to see what all the hoopla is about with the defocus control lenses. FF is certainly the way to go.
  13. Julie is never allowed on my phone again. I am in love with my d800. The full frame viewfinder coupled with dedicated buttons for iso, wb, bracketing are addicting. Still don't know how to use bracketing but learning. I find myself using the 35mm lens almost exclusively so the 50mm is FS. But the body is beautiful. It's heavy and bulky but I never got perfectly nice shots at ISO 2000 on the nex rig.
  14. Thanks Jacob, I usually do. Not sure how I ended up with Anurag though She has a lovely smile.
  15. "Jacob's wifey pwetty" - Julie.
  16. Antonio, it is entirely possible to purchase the body stateside and mail it over to you if it results in a nicer gift.
  17. Reks, there was a police officer sitting there with a radar gun. He asked me why I was stopping there and asked to see my camera before I took pictures there but then he was very nice once he realized I wasn't causing any trouble.
  18. Looked like a scene out of the Walking Dead.
  19. Those don't have a constant weight distribution
  20. Al, Switzerland.
  21. Chris, I have been poked hundreds of times and more than half blood has been drawn but the pencil is just so perfectly weighted, it seems like a shame to make the tip retractable. It's the perfect weapon as is. To write and to fight. However, with a small person around the house with you, i dont know if it would be safe. I've had mine for over 10 years now. People still ask how I get by with just 2 pencils and not lose them.
