  1. Nice acquisition Nate. Happy to report that I continue to love the Rotring 600 pen well past the honey moon period.
  2. Happy Birthday Al.
  3. Didn't know this. Thanks for the link.
  4. Yeah but foxes are typically wild animals. I was under the assumption that Stretch did not live in the wilderness. So if it really were fox, it would be cool to see them in an urban environment. The fact that they were having sex doesn't really matter to me.
  5. Would be cool/odd to see pictures of either. Not in a sexual way. Well maybe not about the latter guess perhaps.
  6. Meh nm.
  7. And by foxes, do you mean...actual foxes or the british slang for hot women? Either way, pics?
  8. Way cool shirt.
  9. Really didn't want to read that. But couldn't stop once I started lol.
  10. And people wonder why I don't like Dan. Not being sarcastic when I say that.
  11. Thank you sir.
  12. Handed over a check for $5000 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and for a little over $7500 to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Both organizations work with children with cancer and do some amazing work to make their lives better. The lab manual I had made for the Neuroanatomy Lab ended up being used as an optional supplement for the course. It will be used as the manual next year with a few more additions that I need to make this summer. It was well received enough that we decided to turn it into a fundraiser for the Photography Club. The students were allowed to donate whatever amount they wanted in exchange for the manual and we ended up getting donations from 322 of the 350 students that got the book which was absolutely unbelievable. That $5000 collected was donated to the LLS. As part of the Pediatric Club, we encouraged people to either shave their head or donated some of their hair to Locks of Love. One 9th grader (who attends an advanced high school attached to my university) surprised us all by raising $4100 alone. She agreed to shave her head if everyone in her class donated anything over $5. The message spread like wildfire and other classes and teachers contributed to the cause as well. We are very lucky to have had her present today. Even though she singlehandedly raised more than half the amount we donated, she was exceptionally humble and a pleasure to talk to. Going to be somewhat easy to fall asleep tonight. Hopefully they can find a way to fuck cancer up the ass. Here are some pictures I took at the event today if you wish to see - http://photographyinmedicine.blogspot.com/2014/11/our-community-efforts_4.html
  13. What Dan asked. And is there any warranty on the 'new' ear pieces?
  14. People still use checks?
  15. Still requires the purchase of a dock by those who didn't have one previously or the purchase of absurdly expensive adapter cables. Surely cheaper ones will be available soon but to buy one for usb and another for an sd card seems like a shitty proposition. I think they have crossed the point of diminishing returns for me. Making it more of a nuisance instead of making it more portable.
  16. Finally found a set of blades (shark super chrome) that don't cut me when shaving. Best shave ever. No tugging. Even during the times I applied a bit of pressure, no cuts at all.
  17. Exactly my thoughts.
  18. Thank you gents. The dry cough is the worst of it. The nebulizer helped the breathing a lot. In case anyone is medically inclined, here is what my breathing sounded like around noon today. Just held a phone up to my mouth. No amplification. The other med school students got a kick out of it. https://soundcloud.com/anurag-katyal/lung-sounds
  19. Happy birthday Bonnie Diagnosed myself with bilateral pneumonia today. Confirmed by an x Ray and a doc. Was quite happy that I was able to do it using just a stethoscope until I realized it was my lungs I was listening to and my own chest xray.
  20. The $10000 came as a huge surprise. Still don't care for the watch.
  21. I think I'll wait a month or two before getting in line. Let's see what the initial upgraders have to say about the process. Not terribly keen on ruining an already good pair of headphones. There isn't anything really that I wish to change about them but if I can get a reshell (right ear piece is slightly loose after 4 years) and an upgrade for $350 then why not. I am curious though if they are repurposing any drivers from the old ear pieces or just basically making you a new pair for $350.
  22. Do they redo the shells as I faintly recall reading that the bass drivers are destroyed if you try to reshell the jh16s. Assuming the deal is available on the 16s as well.
  23. I actually read that post as well before reading the relevant one. Wasn't sure what Nate was going on about.
  24. Just measured my speakers with a decibel meter app on my phone. Most likely not even close to accurate but told me an average of 57dB with a peak of 70dB. Should be fine with that for more than an hour I don't get the point of listening to music at 110dB at a concert and ruining one's hearing for life. Really don't see the allure.
  25. I wouldn't recommend using vinegar (acetic acid won't really neutralize another acid). If anything, just toss the sheets back in the wash with just cold water. As everyone else has said, I doubt anything leaked out of the batteries, but in the event a minuscule amount made its way out (highly unlikely), the excess water from the second wash will more than dilute whatever potentially leaked out to where it wouldn't matter. I think the sheets are fine the way they are but just for the peace of mind, you can wash them again if you like.
