  1. Hey! you've gone 16 pages for one shiny box, what more can be said?
  2. Yes I know they kick ass. I thought you said Apogee Duetta. Never mind
  3. I don't know, I intend to drop them as soon as I am allowed, there's no commitment to buy anything afterwards.
  4. Artist: Taj Mahal (I think) Album: ?? Song: ?? Lyric: "Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker drink all the liquor down in Costa Ricker ain't nobody's business from my own." Can anyone confirm that the artist is Taj and the name of the album? and Artist: The Doors Album: Live Song: N/A Lyric: "YOU CANNOT PETITION THE LORD WITH PRAYER!" Can anyone tell me what album this was originally on? The LIve version has some pretty annoying background audience noise.
  5. I'm like a BMG charter member, this order should be here in another day or two. Ali Farka Toure In The Heart Of the Moon Lizz Wright Salt Cassandra Wilson Thunderbird Hugh Masekela The Best Of Hugh Masekela - The Millennium Collection Eliane Elias Something For You - Eliane Elias Sings & Plays Bill Evans The Groove Collective People People Music Music Magdalena Kozena Lamento Kurt Masur Mendelssohn, Symphonies 3&4; Midsummer Night's Dream; Violin Cto. I'm also a sucker for music junk mail, I'm about to bite on the Jazz Heritage Society offer, 5 cds for 99 cents each.
  6. Bro, When in Honolulu it's Ono Hawaiian Foods for a pile of Portagee, Kailua pig and poi, then up to the KC drive-in for an Ono-ono shake. For a snack it's Spam musubi and mac salad from the trucks. Did I mention the azuki bean shaved ice? For sush it's Sasabune ,omakase all the way. I work in downtown Oakland, sushi/dim-sum/pho/bbq/kim chee/raman/gumbo are all within a 5-10 minute walk. Like JP said, too many to list. Dinner-wise like lunch it's depends on what you want, great latin food go to Fruitvale, Afgan-Fremont, Russian-SF, Italian-North Beach. But for sushi it's always Hanazen in Orinda.
  7. Waits lives in N. Ca and sometimes he sneaks a Concert into the Paramount Theater in Oakland, under an alias and the shows are sold out before anyone knows about it. Thanks for the heads up!
  8. boom your UE11 are...nice, but.. But HEY these are Waits tickets! Need to know where? When? Did Tom bill under his own name or an alias? And of course it's sold out already.
  9. Congratulations! Sleep is also overrated the night after the wedding. I see it took you 6 days to recover. Where did you honeymoon?
  10. MGIIIa
  11. Not a can man. Pre-home-rig I had cans, now if I want to listen to cans I light up the maggys. In this era of "Hi-FI portable" IEMs are where it's at. Althoughhh I'm not going jogging with the SR-brick.
  12. Well kiss my ass! ;D
  13. IR film!! Where did you get that? I thought IR film was as rare as your TechPan. Too bad about the plumbing especially after you bought the jumbo sink, all stainless steel? 82mm filter: Damn, that's a big piece of glass, the largest I have is 77mm. BTW there are 250 82mm filters on EB, warning the Hass ARE expensive. A topic unto itself but NEVER leave school! Get your MFA then PhD then get tenured then... but never leave. We all did and it sucks out here.
  14. APUG: I'm still having fun over there, learning a lot. Snobbery? The Brits are the worst. I called out one of their favorite (Greek) sons, accused him of trolling--HC heckling has nothing on a bunch of super-egotistical photogs. They're beginning to post up results from the ATP 1.1 test kits, interesting results, love to see yours. Beware, there are some photo gods over there, principals from Ilford, Fuji and Calumet, former Kodak chemists, photo magazine owners, and some near great talents that have little tolerance for cat snaps. If it doesn't pass the smell test they will call you on it, definitely not for the thin skinned. Technidol?!..Damn you have some nice friends.
  15. ouch! I'm still trying to figure out how this place works. Multi-quote feature...I have not found. Oh yes I have, the "Insert Quote" feature. Yaya I git and got the picture. I'm rotating pairs of 280mAH NiMHs through every 3 or 4 days. Boom gave me a great deal +free S/H, I bought direct in Mayberry. $104 in the 'scalade?!! Today is Bike-to-Work day, 16 miles per a bowl of yogurt, 16 miles back on half a Mr. PizzaMan special. I heard the SR-71 in San Jose and took, what, 10 months? (SJ Nat'l to Mayberry) to get one. In the mean time Ray's lead circuit boards are banned i.e. nomore SRs. So believe me, I know and appreciate what I got.
  16. Will you be in full immobilization cast? A few of my buds had this happen, in a cast for 3-months. I'm no Dr but this seems to be epidemic among the post-40 yo weekend warriors. Consider this a warning to the other old codgers on the site.
  17. Jealous!
  18. Too may forums, not getting a damn thing done, gonna get my ass fired but at least that'll give me time to tweak my silicon tonearm damper, get the sonex on the walls and get some production out of the darkroom. And this time it was your fault, I didn't know HC existed until you linked a HC post on HF.
  19. HELL NO! Just yanking some chain. Your baby is still sounding awfully sweet. I haven't found a replacement, but I'm not looking either. How's you clearance sale coming along? Anything left?
  20. If you and JP don't mind coming to the ghetto, I could check on the availability of the Clubhouse here at Hilltop. Giants game? Thanks, Keep me in mind if Lincecum is pitching, sometimes I get a jones for a cha-cha bowl.
  21. We're all dicks, some bigger than others, and size does matter. Are you still up for the SF mini-meet? Or is that a HF "resource" issue, can't talk about it..here.
  22. The accordion guy looks like Ken B.
  23. Riceboy to riceboy, thanks for the warning, but the otaku got nothing, yadadamean?
  24. I'll take that as a yes, and no polka posting unless it has Lawrence Welk in latex getting a plate job.
