No disagreement from me on the watch. Someday I hope to own an ALS, although probably not that one as it's well North of $100,000! Watchfinder the company was the biggest used/grey market watch dealer in the UK, with a couple of showrooms in London and elsewhere. Their main advantage was you could actually go in to see their watches in the metal and try them on, versus the Internet dealers where you were trying to judge condition etc. from photographs. Flip side was that they were considerably more expensive. Anyway, they were recently bought out by Richemont, one of the largest luxury conglomerates in the world and the owners of A. Lange & Söhne, Baume & Mercier, Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Panerai, Piaget, Roger Dubuis and Vacheron Constantin. The deal was seen as an acknowledgement by the primary luxury watch manufacturers of the growing importance of the secondary market (and an intention to get a piece of it, thus gaining some control over the channel). It also opens up some interesting opportunities for cross-promotion, as (likely) seen above.

You're making some excellent decisions of late.

Nice! I had a 16710 GMT for a few years that started life with a black bezel, although I swapped in a Coke insert and wore it like that until it got flipped in some gear frenzy.

So that's why we were delayed yesterday from NY and today again from BOS. Dude!

This was a 2lb cowboy ribeye and a bottle of 2012 Ornellaia for lunch at Quality Meats. The I-Banker bros three inches away at the next table (yay NY) were giving off strong “who’s this fucking tourist?” vibes so I had to go for the surreptitious shot. On the other hand, I also got to eavesdrop on their genius-level strategic analysis. Example: “You know I really think the sooner we can get something signed, the faster the whole deal will go.” [emoji966][emoji966][emoji966]

Very nice! Enjoy!

Hardly a classic, but France looked very comfortable and I can see them beating either England or Croatia in the final.

My 13-year-old listens to some reprehensible shit -- mumble rap mostly -- but every now and then we agree on something decent out of left field ...

The England keeper Pickford did very well in the shootout but also kept them in it in extra time with a truly exceptional save. Kind of got lost because Colombia scored from the resulting corner. i0ml0.mp4 Doesn't look like it from behind but that was going right in the top corner.

It appears the law of averages is still in operation and England can't lose every single penalty shootout.
