  1. ^ Awesome, will check them out.
  2. Meh LCD-2 FOTM Jesus, these HF people. Apparently can't reliably ABX 128kbps mp3 vs. wav and say they can hear the difference between cables.
  3. Bell & Ross BR01 Minuteur Tourbillon - Used Good deal?
  4. It's true, reading HF is bad for my health. I was trying to look up stuff on the SR-001 Mk2 yesterday and then look what happened, started reading other stuff and ended up like the above pic. Been 4ish months since the last time I legitimately checked HF.
  5. I can't even imagine what it's like to watch the entire Ring cycle live (in one "go"), but I definitely hope to someday. What's the time span for something like that? One a night, so four nights in a row? Epic.
  6. Anyone and anything has the necessary skills to work on an R10. The hard part is having the R10 both functional and aesthetically unchallenged at the end.
  7. I started following the LCD-2 thread over there and my god is it full of shit. I gave jcx a hard time for being a dickhead here, but wtf is this: I clicked on the link, and found interesting statements such as this, from who else but our trusty bus driver: Because obviously he knows what listening in 4D sounds like "figuratively." Gotta have that 18AWG ALO cable, makes everything sound moar betterer with the bigger basses and the moar dimensions. You know, the ladies sometimes describe my hand as a velvet hammer, I'm beginning to think maybe it is wired with 18AWG ALO cable.
  8. Reks needs to give you lessons on these sort of things - it is prudent to bury the bodies before you type on the iPhone, otherwise the little hooker bits get in the way.
  9. I think that was his point. I would've been doing something completely different on a summer Saturday in South Miami. Just saying.
  10. Happy birthday!
  11. ^ Good man, thanks! Now to print it out.
  12. You sure? I hear kwkwarth is driving.
  13. Artist: Hot Chip Album: One Life Stand Song: Alley Cats Pretty much all of it, because the lyrics are so well constructed even though there's repetition. Well, the repetition is put to good effect. Here's one part: Well we wear each other's heads like hats Speak in tongues like alley cats Cradle them in both our laps When we lie (replaced by die the second time around) alone http://www.lyricsmania.com/alley_cats_lyrics_hot_chip.html
  14. WANT. But I certainly am not feeling indefatigable right now.. or ever.
  15. Sorry to hear about your dog, Steve. Let us know what the vet says.
  16. I have no use/space for a desktop setup and I'm too poor to buy an overpriced overheating power hogging gaming laptop. But yeah, it should be easy to construct a relatively cheap desktop setup that will run SC2 well. Oh, and some useful info: http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/07/28/blizzard-confirms-starcraft-ii-overheating-bug.aspx
  17. Ouch, seems like you're going to have build a new computer from the ground up. Also seems like even my shitty cheap Dell is already outdated and can only run the bare minimum child's coloring book graphics at decent FPS. There really is no hope to beat 11 year old koreans unless you are also korean, is there. SC : Korea's national sport. WikiAnswers - What is the national sport of South Korea
  18. Dang, how old is your computer? Specs? I think my laptop can probably barely run it (Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz, 3GB RAM, GeForce 9300M GS) but I'd be very afraid of the consequences of playing. I can imagine myself either being addicted and neglecting important things or being scarred for life getting constantly beaten by 11 year old koreans.
  19. That's the point. It's a bad meme, don't ask.
  20. "The Long End of Zelda" I think Zelda is a pretty cool guy. eh triforces and doesn't afraid of anything.
  21. Like is indeed too vague a word, and Porcupine Tree is indeed "like" Pink Floyd. But they're also different in many ways, and in fact, iirc Steven Wilson hates that people think of PT as the next PF. Er, yeah.
  22. I've spent the past 5 or so years trying to find bands/music like Pink Floyd, and frankly I'm glad I haven't found anything quite like them. That's what makes music interesting. If I had, I'd probably just deem them a rip-off anyway. It's definitely fun to see the far-ranging influence across a large variety of genres, and also fun to see that I enjoy most of these genres. Thanks for the recs, I think I tried Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream at some point in time and was confused and/or scarĀ®ed.
  23. Been trying to find all the direct and indirect musical offsprings of Pink Floyd. Started out with prog and some other kinds of rock, moved to various kinds of metal, now trying electronic stuff. Not gonna lie, some of this stuff scares me. Not that album, but subgenres like darkpsy and full on psytrance. I'm afraid I might actually start becoming insane. Maybe insane enough to even start listening to krautrock.
