  1. I also just found this: But also found this: Which I didn't remember I had, so am listening to that now.
  2. Ooh that does look good. I just did a rudimentary scan of my main stack of CDs and only found David Oistrakh Collection Vol. 6, EMI "The Devil's Trill", and the EMI DVD with Oistrakh, Menuhin, and Rostropovich. Didn't realize my Oistrakh collection was so lacking.
  3. I only have this: and a couple other discs here and there. May have to dig through CD collection. Soviet recording technology was crap.
  4. Yup, stock and especially if the cotton is removed and not replaced with anything the bass is kind of blobby and slow and that's because of the resonance from the back plate. Quick fix makes it better, and a good headphone, depending on the condition of the electrets.
  5. Would've made one of the best endings of all time, of all time...
  6. No need to buy. As to the second question:
  7. Those caprices own my soul. Damn Paganini for trolling all violinists that came after him. Meanwhile:
  8. One moar Leo pic: Also:
  9. Yes it is.
  10. Here are some more: What are these Keanu verticals you speak of? I know the tons of Inception/Leo ones, which are usually hilarious.
  11. Yeah that's true, the treble was nonexistent with stock pads.
  12. I'd have to hear it to believe it. The Fostex T50v1 I heard didn't have great treble extension and the bass was a bit flabby.
  13. In my experience with the RP18 and headphones in general, pads make a huge difference in frequency response. Pads that leak bass and are decently thick work well.
  14. I don't like any part of her.
  15. 4'33" Honestly it just sounds like he picked ten songs he liked. Also, every audiophile knows that Norah Jones album was probably mastered by people dumping acorns all over the boards and then letting some squirrels loose. Which is actually only slightly worse than the average mastering engineer.
  16. Depends on the frequency, microwaves operate around 2.4GHz which happens to be quite close to the frequencies used by various wireless devices. You can try finding something that operates at a different frequency band to minimize interference.
