  1. Damn this one driver is trolling me hard. Was fine yesterday but not so much today. The diaphragm measures fine when I take it out of everything, and the brass rings measure fine. I screw almost everything in, everything is fine. I screw in the final screw, it measures ~1 ohm. Something must be in there that is conductive and touching the two brass rings, I can't think of any other reason. But I can't see anything there.
  2. wut dbl post
  3. Good news, we can carry on blaming roll-off on the headphones now! I take it this was measured with the load?
  4. Er, are you going to work tomorrow or are you at work right now (so I know when to remind you)? Or uh... I can like. Now remind you. *reminds* wut But yeah, I made the 4 pin XLR to 1/4" adapter so everything should be ready to be plugged in tomorrow. The CAT5 is a bit stiff though, I used solid core and all 8 conductors.
  5. No offense, but they are about as funny as going to an actual lecture.
  6. So I ended up just replacing the whole cable with an actual CAT5 cable since I'm too lazy to braid and heatshrink and sleeve and all that other crap. Terminated with 4 pin Neutrik XLR so I can't even listen to it yet until I make an adapter but it measures fine. 47.6 ohm left channel, 48.1 ohm right channel.
  7. I'm about ready to puke just reading about it, no pics plz. Hope it heals asap.
  8. Tell us how you really feel...
  9. Someone needs to name an Android phone or something Pengas Sent from Fitz's Pengas using Tapatalk (wut) Sent from philodox's mom's house (wutwut...inthebutt)

  12. I can totally imagine how bad that must've sucked, and that is hella creepy. I literally got home right before it got really bad. And yeah power was flickering for us as well up until 9:30pm last night and it has been out ever since. I'm currently gleaning wifi off my mom's work place (school is closed). We bought a massive snowblower so getting snow off our driveway was thankfully pretty easy.
  13. While I was on the road back home, I watched the precipitation turn from rain to freezing rain to a bit of sleet to snow, all with varying intensities. Got home a few minutes after the snow started accumulating on the roads, no thanks to the fucktards going like 10mph and taking up multiple lanes.
  14. 9 cell battery for my vostro
  15. Cool looking TO-92 heatsinks! Was it hard to fit the transistors in with the thermal paste?
  16. What about the Stax? What about THE STAX?? It needs a 'meanwhile in america' caption
  17. I lol'd and would agree Ti doesn't quite look like Ag. You're a stronger man than before, the bionic wolvereks!
  18. fuk yea wolvereks, get that adamantium infused in your bones so you can't break any more bones MRI should be interesting though...
  19. fuk yea reks
  20. Yup he's not changing the gain of the amp, he's attenuating the input signal. Bob you may still want to put the thing under an oscilloscope as adding a pole may have caused further oscillations (listening for it is not a good way of doing it).
  21. I would as well. Another one you or your brother might like (but NSFW) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-syVw7Ojq0
  22. I would say the HF roll-off is a combination of the two, and frankly I'm pretty sure the O2MK2 rolls off faster than ~1.5dB at 20kHZ.(I'm in the O2-is-dark camp) Nice job on the (thankfully) single pole filter though, I'm sure it helped. Perhaps check the Stax thread for the bass port mod on the O2Mk2, it should help the boomy bass and clean up the midrange a tad.
