Pretty much every major revision Facebook has made has been terrible (at least since I joined in I think '05) and people have been saying the same thing for years now but it's still the most popular social networking site. Dunno what that says.
Says the guy who got annoyed at people talking quietly near him.
Once I fall asleep nothing short of a properly sized earthquake or the like can wake me up, so I'm actually fine with it as well.
Having finally ... lived through?... the massively loud snorers (less guzziguy), I finally know what you guys are talking about. And let me tell you it is a joking matter at all times except when you are a few feet away experiencing it firsthand.
Beyer sucks.
Hey you didn't tell me you had a pair of Floats. One of these days I need to completely refurb the foam, damp the chassis properly, and connect the drivers to the chassis properly.
Wait, you melted the enclosure instead of desoldering and resoldering the cables? That's pretty funny. Yeah ideally the hole should be just big enough to fit the cable. What was funny sounding about the upper midrange/lower treble? I guess I should just check the ortho thread on HF.
Mind elaborating on them improving sound? I actually think part of why the 404LEs sound funky to me is because of the leather pads but I can't confirm that until I hear another Lambda with those pads. Also what didn't you like about the newer version pleathers?
Interesting stuff. If it were me I'd just buy a couple sets of the old stock foam pads and cut out the foam, but apparently I have pretty flat ears as none of the Lambdas I've owned have bothered me (or had any foam left).
No, I need to pick something I think is interesting. I was thinking on doing some tests on a cascoded differential amp with current source loads (hm, wonder where that idea came from) or an RF power amp or maybe something completely different, just trying to get some ideas up in the air first.
I'm taking a Microelectronics lab course and we need to pick a particular not overly complicated circuit we think is interesting that is in the literature to build and test. If necessary, we are allowed to make use of the VLSI fabrication laboratory but have to design the layout ourselves. Any cool ideas people have for this project?
Edit: Forgot to say that unless we provide the transistors/opamps/etc ourselves, we are using bog standard parts. 2N390x BJTs and ancient 4007 MOSFETs. Opamps are some newer version of the 1458.
Fanny Wang's On Ear Wangs.
Just.. imagine it. Imagine it like I did. And laugh. Like I did.
Ok I'm done (for now).
Edit: Nvm they have "On Ear Wang's" on the website, so uh. Grammar fail. Or maybe it is in reference to the Cee apostrophe d?
Nah it's cool, I'm pretty used to doing things the ghetto way. Just trying to get this dang thing working for an upcoming meet.
