  1. The JJ gold pin are 6922 so you are totally fine with regards to voltages, so just stick with what works.
  2. I doubt those are the same tubes that I got, which look like this: http://www.thetubestore.com/Tubes/6922-E88CC-Tube-Types/JAN-Philips-6922-Low-Noise Stick with what works for you, though.
  3. 200-75=125. I don't know, it's just one of those things that wouldn't ever stop nagging in the back of my head, and 6922s cost the same so why make life more complicated than it already is imo. But I'm sure 6dj8s will last longer than people will take to get bored/start tube rolling.
  4. I just looked up the datasheet for JJ and it looks like they are calling the 6DJ8 the same as 6922 and the max voltage is 220V so you are fine. I am using JAN Philips 6922.
  5. Not sure of the "they" you are referring to but I am using 6922s, which are confirmed to work on Kerry's T2. Those have a max plate rating of 220V. Maybe there are more robust versions of 6DJ8 out there that can go above the normal max, but rather than do hours of research it was simpler for me to just use 6922s.
  6. Not sure what the Gold Aeros are, but regular 6DJ8s shouldn't be used with the T2. They have a max plate voltage of 130V and the top tube sees about 130V.
  7. I believe I already proved that the SRX circuit is not a cascode. I spent about 2 straight weeks getting my improved T2 circuit to simulate correctly (with some help from Kerry), so I'm very cool with not touching spice for awhile and just concentrating on figuring out using the CNC I just bought. I'm also learning as much as I can about finance, marketing, and law, meeting with people from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom tomorrow.
  8. Again, the SRX circuit is completely different from Birt's schematic. To say that they share the same DNA is to say that humans share 50% of their DNA with bananas. While true, a human and a banana are not the same thing.
  9. Again, the input stage is not a cascode in the SRX so they really aren't the same. Also, the T2 has 6 total amplification stages, the SRX has 3.
  10. I had two ideas. One is just to make the board as small as possible so no mounting bracket and you mount the PCB directly to any size heatsink you want, just like you said. The other is using these new heatsinks I found: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Wakefield-Vette/OMNI-UNI-41-75/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMttgyDkZ5WiulvLQlijNHCBZqUtUbH5nOM%3d The datasheet says you put two back to back and they have mounting holes for a fan. The problem with that is the bigger ones say they can only fit bigger packages, no TO-220. I sent them an email inquiring, but if people just want the first option then I don't need to pursue this any further. Edit: sorry to JimL for crapping on your thread. Any new posts should go in the Carbon thread.
  11. I don't, but could potentially start working on layout in a few weeks, given enough people want it and Kevin is okay with it. Do beware that even though the boards can be shrunk much smaller using SMD parts, the heatsinks obviously need to be the same size as before to dissipate the same amount of heat. I need to experiment more with forced convection to really get things small.
  12. The Warriors will be fine, they're just feeling a little lackadaisical because they have the best roster of any team in the league by far, even getting a great rookie in Jordan Bell. The Lavs have no chemistry and there are a lot of players that used to be extremely good but are too old to play defense now, plus Tristan got bit by the Kardashian Kurse and started listening to Taylor Swift before games. Everyone moved to the west in the off-season so I don't see why the Cavs won't end as a top 3 seed again, though.
  13. Surface-mount device, as opposed to through-hole
  14. I populated about 90% of some Carbon boards before abandoning the project because I completely switched over to SMD...
  15. Damn, twitter was savage af while the Knicks blew out the Cavs tonight :/
  16. Too many idiots out there not even knowing how their k1000s work so a ton of them have damaged locking mechanisms and there are no longer any temple pad replacements from AKG. And yeah, the latter is why no one in their right mind would buy the new one at any price.
  17. No idea but I came up with two versions of an electrostatic amp that has the Dynahi front end awhile back. They definitely need more tweaking so I will revisit, but I have been too busy learning CNC stuff recently.
  18. Yep, that's right. Don't have the schematic right now but did you also check the resistors/pots in the input stage current sink?
  19. Elevated and floating are not the same thing.
  20. Everyone these days is drinking the Veblen Kool-Aid, ceterus paribus. Or maybe it can be described as some perverse form of parity.
  21. Added benefit is you can sous vide some eggs while you're listening
  22. Lim-osine is so appropriately nerdy, assuming it's referring to the DNA/RNA base! All of them are good, though. I was a very scrawny kid who always got picked last and a very late bloomer, I didn't reach my final height of 6'2 until I was 22.
  23. He seems very humble, probably too humble but quite welcome in a world of Trumps. And yeah, his style of play slashing all the time causes the injuries in the first place so hopefully he can develop some range with a nice step back or pull up game and maybe play a few more years. People called me similar names when I was growing up (Jackie Chan/Bruce Lee, not Jeremy Lin) but I also had a whole slew of other nicknames based on my name, like Justin Time and Justification, Timberlake, Bieber Fever, etc. I wish someone called me Jeremy Lin, especially as a fellow Taiwanese American, but I didn't play a single minute of sports growing up...
