  1. Acoustat Model 3, the version with the taller built-in stands. Extends pretty flat to <40Hz so absolutely no need for a (sub)woofer. Has decent high end extension too.
  2. I have traditional 'stat speakers, and have literally none of those issues. 6ft isn't that tall and it's full range.
  3. Missed this, thanks. Most people develop some amount of lactose intolerance as they grow older, and I guess drinking excessive quantities of milk makes it more obvious that I'm no different. Drinking milk in moderation elicits no ill effects. I guess it is the stress, then. Definitely need to get my blood pressure tested sometime in the near future.
  4. shift+f7 + kettles of coffee
  5. hope you feel moar betterer soon
  6. Interesting, didn't know that and I've been drinking massive amounts of milk lately. Weird though as it hasn't caused acid problems for me, just bloating, excess gas, sometimes diarrhea. I've had gastrointestinal issues for at least the last 5-6 years and have given up foods that can make me sweat like mad and feel nauseous, eg. overly spicy foods, all sodas, things with too much caffeine, etc. I actually did feel relatively better when I was taking protein pump inhibitors but got lazy and they were expensive. The last doctor I asked about my gastrointestinal issues said it was due to stress, which conflicts with what this site says: http://www.umm.edu/digest/ulcers.htm.

  9. Not that I wear watches (except my Hello Kitty watch), but I have small wrists too. They're slowly growing though, last year they were around 6" flat and now they are same as yours, 6.5-6.75"
  10. Happy birthday Vincent!
  11. So by True Life they actually mean Very Fabricated Life? I've never seen the show.
  12. I'm too stone cold sober right now to have realized
  13. I think he meant stone cold sober(-ish)
  14. No good deed goes unpunished. I once left my wallet at the gym. When I came back to check if I had left it there, the lost and found did indeed have it - minus all the cash inside. At least my IDs and credit card etc weren't taken, so I was thankful. Edit: Oh, and congrat Scott!
  15. lolwut I had to look that up I'm starting to get the feeling I don't know what I bought...
  16. Happy birthday!
  17. It's owned by a museum, estimated worth 5-6 million USD, and it's about to acquire another Strad that cost 12 mil. Wikipedia says it has 5 Strads already. Strad prices can only skyrocket and then become unobtainium as all the museums and collectors buy them all out and they stop circulating. I think the one I played was in need of a tune-up by an experienced luthier but it was clear that it gets use from time to time as there is still leftover rosin. Also the bow I was using was crap (worth $5-6k), which didn't help. I still don't think properly tuned it could beat out my violin in both sound quality and playability. Doesn't that mean that it.. sucks... wut?
  18. played a strad. it sucked. listened to sony mdr-sa3000. it sucked. listened to sony pfr-v1 or whatever the hell it's called. it was kind of okay, but mainly sucked.
