It's nowhere as fast as having everything in RAM due to being last in the memory hierarchy, having to go through the controller, and SSDs being flash-based instead of volatile DRAM like with memory, but it's pretty fast.

I only start going through a band's albums if I actually like the couple of songs I hear first, so I... haven't really gone through their albums per se. Mournful Congregation sounds like it might be good, I'll check it out. I dig doom, stoner, sludge, etc. metal, as well as extreme, usually technical metal, and things that are groovy. Odd mix but what can I say.

After listening to a few songs, everything blurs together and sounds the same, which is weird, because most songs are, has been said, just fricking disjointed. The metal bits don't really sound like metal and make me feel like they were added in just for the sake of needing metal bits for them to actually be called metal, the weak ballady crap is weak and sounds like crap (ya rly), and overall the songs just doesn't sound inspired in any way, shape or form. Funny you should mention Dream Theater, I don't really like them either. Would definitely rather listen to pretty much anything by The Beatles (edit: or Porcupine Tree). Edit: IMO.
