  1. Gearslutz is probably the worst named forum ever. Googling sound absorbing panels and acoustic panels brings things like these: Seems just what I was looking for. Was just wondering if you guys had tried a particular version of these that worked well. If not, I'll just keep researching.
  2. True, calling all aardvarks to aisle HelpMPI! My main priority is not better acoustics, though. I'm just trying to prevent my neighbors from hating me and calling the condo board on me.
  3. What they said, good luck with the bats. Don't use a bat to whack-a-bat. It's probably a bat idea.
  4. I need some sound absorbing acoustic panels, has anyone tried these? If so, did you find them to be effective? How did the mounting on the wall hold up?
  5. ^ Such is life in Latvia?
  6. I did get my eyes dilated in a test in preparation for my lasik. I forget why, off the top of my head, and don't care to delve deeper.
  7. ^ This, listening to pro bias Stax out of a normal bias socket is less than optimal though I don't know what the Kingsounds are supposed to run at.

    Top Gear

Makes sense, thanks. I didn't realize Top Gear had gone quite *that* far. Their bias toward British cars is pretty much a given but apparently there's a lot more going down. Of course agreed all around on Chris Harris and some of the other Drive stuff.
  9. I have the exact same setup (see previous page). There are ROMs like these that are specifically for i747 running TMo carrier. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2278389 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317259 TMo is expanding its LTE coverage pretty quickly and still working on its 1900mhz refarm, of which they said they will not extend their current tower range. With strong LTE signal I can get 24mbps download.
  10. So which was the best sauce?
  11. My first try at something tonight: 2 cups whole milk 2 tbsp peanut butter 1 scoop cytogainer (40g) 1 cup oats 1 banana There may be something to this smoothifying thing, not bad for a first try but I think I need to go easy on the banana next time and do some more tweaking.
  12. My comment wasn't directed at you. Yeah, sometimes just getting rid of some bloatware is good enough. Although I definitely had to root to get rid of the AT&T and some Samsung bloatware on my phone.
  13. Not everyone wants the same exploits/theming/functions, which is the point of rooting it and having tons of different ROMs and ROM devs out there to choose from. It's also fun, at least for me, to delve deeper into how my phone works. If everyone wanted the same consistent experience across the board with everything locked, they would choose Apple, which is totally fine with me.
  14. I've had three Android phones and felt the need to root/recovery and install custom ROMs for all of them. Think I even did some Terminal stuff to change read/write permissions and init.d at some point. Not a fan of stock bloatware and enjoy tethering and changing my CPU frequency changing characteristics, mainly to prolong battery life. For my current phone, an AT&T branded S3, I also rooted/ROM'd to get T mobile's latest features on 4.1.2 like Multi Window and Wifi calling and some other stuff like Call Recording and SMS/MMS tweaks. And I could never use Android without Titanium Backup or something similar, which also requires root. Running SuperSU and Busybox.

    Top Gear

I found out the Ferrari Chris Harris scandal (http://jalopnik.com/5760248/how-ferrari-spins) awhile back and just found this out about the Huayra on Top Gear: http://jalopnik.com/pagani-admits-they-used-two-sets-of-tires-for-top-gear-450547430 There's also Porsche calling out Nissan and the GT-R Nurburgring lap time: http://jalopnik.com/5056908/porsche-smells-rat-claims-nissan-cheating-on-gt+r-nurburgring-lap-times Sucks that car manufacturers feel the need to one-up each other by frauding.
  17. Wtf am I looking at... but I see 12AT7 and 6FQ7 on the bottom so the top schematic is also a Stax design? Must be the first one they ever made...
  18. LOL that's pretty good. I think I would like that better than the Lost ending.
  19. I can't wait. What an amazing show that only got better and darker with time. Already trying to think up ways the opening scene in Season 5 and the end of the 8th episode tie in to the end.
  20. Awesome, those alpha pads may be just what I'm looking for! Not sure about the LCD2 pads since they're so angled and stiff. And very nice on the SR-X Mk1, an SR-X Mk3 with plenty of bass reminds me of an SR-X Pro which sounds very good indeed.
