FYI when parts start letting out the magic smoke, something is wrong with the circuit... you can't just use higher rated resistors and hope nothing blows up.

It still sounds closed, and not sort of half-closed like the Z1R. But the overall tonality is warmer than the HD800S, which is in most cases appreciated (for me, the original HD800 is pretty much unlistenable). Female vocals sounded kind of wonky but I didn't have time to further investigate. I like the new pads but don't know if they will have longevity problems, like all of Sennheiser's other ones.

Hehe, maybe what I wrote last year got around and they didn't want people comparing. I couldn't make an accurate assessment of the Jr setup as I'm pretty sure I hate the sound of the Chord DAVE, other than the design engineer of the amp is at least as bad at digital as s/he is analog. The noise at each click of the steps was infuriating, and the encoder code is still wrong.

@justinI wouldn't worry too much about it if the ones at Canjam were any indication. I'll just leave it at that. What's funny is the Shangri La amp broke down again, which also happened last year, so I didn't get to see if they fixed the QC on the headphones. I was pleasantly surprised by the T8000, actually. It's not amazing but it also isn't the steaming pile of junk some people make it out to be, and it's a great match for the SR-009 which I think was the intention in the first place.

If you can listen to the DAC now, got any impressions? Also, where did you source the replacement PMD200?

Still using Kicad and its 3d libraries, haven't had time to look into Eagle again. Maybe I don't know how to read that schematic or maybe it's in a separate sheet but I am not seeing any relay drivers or 12V supply. The operation of the e24 seems to be a bit different as that is using a low voltage switch to turn on high voltage relays for line AC. The V&K voltage selector unit is already a line voltage switch and can handle 250VAC at (?) 5A, so however you would connect it to one transformer's primaries, just put the second one in parallel.

Interested to see what you guys come up with! The one I designed ended up being too big still (my PCB width hack didn't work ), so I'm going to use the Mean Well ac/dc module like in the Dynalo mini. Even the Mean Well version barely fits.

not sure how I feel about these (no hypebeast)... they even look kinda similar

My poor, poor Lakers... just when they were starting to gel. Guess the FO is still going ahead with the salary dump for two max players at least Kuz and Josh "Charles Barkley" Hart were good late draft picks so there is still some hope

I trolled through Mike's thread and found his response from over a year ago. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/schiit-yggdrasil-impressions-thread.766347/page-161#post-12572358 There are several things wrong or at least questionable with his post, not to mention his continual fixation with the one eyed trouser snake and ironically replacing and therefore equating shit with Schiit (mirroring reality). Too lazy to go through it one by one, though, maybe someone else will give it a stab.

Come on, man... you forgot to blur it out in the pic and change the file name

Story of my life, and probably most DIYers... casework is the worst which 3d printer do you have? Here is version 1 of the hamster cage, needs a few more improvements before I'm willing to try to machine everything

Anyone know what power connector this is?

Ooh, forgot to respond to this. I watched the first two seasons of Community and it definitely gets too meta at times to be funny, but overall decent. Will check out Bojack! Anyone tried The Ranch or Master of None?

I've been shitting bricks at figuring out whether or not everything would actually fit in the case these past few weeks and it turns out it does (or at least it should in theory), just barely. There is no empty space at all in this thing.

Can you ask about the motorized versions as well? I still want to know even if it's not part of the group buy
