No such thing as a 2 note chord and I'm pretty sure you should still use double/triple/etc stops as the correct term but yeah we're just getting into semantics here.
Stuff gets really interesting with inversions of applied chords or other non-diatonic chords.
The interval between two notes is the interval. Playing two notes at the same time is a double stop, and is part of a chord, of which the third or fourth notes are nearby.
Edit: Or omitted.
Makes me wonder where the rest of the headphone has been.
I'm with everyone else, you should get this resolved and his responses have been lame. It looks like it's there to keep the two metal pieces from scraping against each other so it's not just aesthetic.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to dream about the steady 33 1/3 rpm's of LPs (there's none moar black) in my sleep soon.
Also Radiohead is pretty kickass, I kind of want at least the newest album as an LP.
That's what I was afraid of, as well. I could never reach the level of tweakiness that Patrick achieves so there's no way I am worthy of being in the same group. But I guess I may have to join Team Too Moderate Tweaking.
Do you know if this is a good step up in SQ compared to the Dual 505-2?
I finally found something that sounds more like real life with this most basic of basic vinyl setups. I don't know why it took me so long to re-listen to my vinyl setup but I'm (sort of) glad I did.
What do you guys think of the seriously vintage turntables, like ones made by Garrard? Would they require a lot of DIY to make/keep functional and would they sound good?
Also, is this a good deal? http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/clt/1472415594.html
It really does seem like almost everyone here either has a pair or is about to buy a pair.
I almost succumbed to the sickness and was considering a JH5 but then realized I have absolutely no use for it.
Yeah I'm in the same boat but I'm Chinese (Taiwanese to be exact). Maybe this list could help? I heard a couple of Epik High songs and I guess they weren't bad.

I hear a lot about some boy bands like DBSK and Big Bang, but mainly from females.
For some reason I'm intimidated the hell out by music from Asia. Genre isn't the problem; I can do some old US hip hop like Notorious BIG and 2pac, and trip hop like Massive Attack. One of these days something will click in my mind and I'll start listening to this stuff, though.
