  1. I've always wanted to dilute a cable. How exactly is that done? Running a current through bare copper in a solution of sulfuric acid?
  2. Maybe try a Warren Audio cable?

    Canjam 2010.

^ I guess I would also like to know. I'll be arriving Friday noonish as well, and leaving Sunday night, 9pm.
  4. I watched the Slap Chop Rap like 50 times a day the first two weeks after discovering it. This acoustic cover is a bit annoying, though.
  5. They sound somewhat more balanced than the vintage orthos, both stock, but the level that can be achieved with modding (sticking with the stock enclosures) is substantially less than with most other vintage orthos. tl;dr all it takes is a couple of discs of felt for the vintage Fostex to wreck it. IMO.
  6. Nice. Osteoporosis maybe? I noticed I haven't been bleeding out the for years.
  7. I can't really wear wrist watches because I found it made my wrist thinner on the side I was wearing them, which was the wrong side anyway. I'm left handed and wore them.. on my left wrist. Also, I'd just end up taking them off and putting them back on again for any playing I'd have to do, then get too lazy and just not put them back on. Which is what I've done. Also, pocketwatches are for badassness.
  8. Curse you, Dusty! My lust for watches has grown quite a bit because of you, and I have absolutely no use for one. Was looking for a pocketwatch for awhile but then realized my cell phone already has that purpose covered. Though it certainly isn't as badass as said pocketwatch.
  9. The T40v1 can also be had for under $100, when found. And if Dinny wants (and somehow finds a pair), I can mod them for him, free of charge, like I did yours. But uh, not at his place, while talking to him, like I did yours.
  10. I'm up for that as well. Probably need to finally get up off my ass and buy some Mogami cable to recable some of my headphones, and finish soldering the WPI plug onto the infuriatingly weak ESP10 cable.
  11. That or the previous version, Fostex T40v1, one of my favorite orthos, though only after modding. Too they're discontinued and pretty rare. I gave my first pair away but should have another pair coming in soon, that I bought a few months ago. Good to see you on here again, Dusty.
  12. Not recommended.
  13. Good luck with everything. Presenting at a Customer Advisory Board sounds pretty awesome, and so is the idea of you smoking hookah. I just got back from the last day of improv soloing for dance performances. Mon-Wed was rehearsal and Thu-Sat were the actual showings. Thank god for being done, now I can actually have time to practice and do work.
  14. Oh wow thanks Duggeh, I was wondering what was going on. That's pretty funny. http://www.walyou.com/blog/2010/04/08/amazing-pixels-video-for-old-school-geeks/
  15. They should write "Not shittily constructed" on stickers to slap on their speakers on the off chance that it will somehow make it true.
  16. My first iron: MINI SOLDER STATION-MPJA, Inc. Worked well enough for me the time I had it, and I got to play around with some cheap tips.
  17. They didn't end up including the babies' faces.
  18. That's one reason not to eat fish heads. Though I guess it could be a delicacy, like rotten shark and stuff.
  19. Including a baby's face.
  20. The deal I got on my 'stat speakers was better. Box speakers can suck it.
  21. I haven't had the easiest childhood either, of which I have no intention of mentioning the details in public. What happens happens, it's what you do with your experiences that matters. On a lighter note:
  22. Maybe beating shit into them will work as well, though I think that's more of a double-edged sword. But as everyone knows, everything is a double-edged sword. But yeah, I somehow really really doubt he's a "really cool guy."
  23. From here: Transmission Audio Inc. Check out their infra-woofer.
