Dinny, check out the WeGotServed website. They have a nice (but not free guide) to the built-in Lion server. It probably does most, if not all, of what you need. I'm sure ML server will be pretty similar.

Just because it cannot run the latest OS doesn't mean it has to be retired. Just run it with the old OS and quit whining.

Yep, I only have Lion on the air. Everything else is Snow Leopard. I'll probably upgrade the air and keep everything else the same. Now for the real decision. New iPad 3 or new Air.

Update: We decided to replace both heating and cooling units. Significantly more expensive, but better than doing band aids for the next few years.

It's OK since I had to look up direct fired absorption chiller. It was an interesting read as long as I didn't take it seriously.

Well the HC home ownership woes continue. Our AC unit will need to be replaced. Three straight weeks of upper 90s/100s have done it in. Not surprising for a 28 year old compressor but annoying nevertheless.
