If you just need a music streamer receiver an Apple airport express works fine also. I just call up my main library with the music app on my ipad using home sharing and then redirect the output to either the airport express in the office or the Apple TV in the bedroom.

I love the K340s. Got them from a pretty nice guy too. The Mac Pro has 4 2Tb drives so it should be OK for a couple of more months. No. That would be the fat music recipient that overheats.
