Excellent news Steve. Fingers crossed for a quick recovery. Thanks Shelly. I also have the m51 in the BHSE setup, replacing the Oppo. I definitely am impressed with the sound because the Oppo was no slouch.

What's not to like? @Steve - A belated good luck to you and Suzy. Glad you found a vet you like. Very nice Shelly. I am thinking of replacing my Oppo Sonica DAC with the NAD m12 w BluOS. One question, is the sound of your m32 similar to the m51? If so, then it will be a no brainer for me.

A belated Happy Birthday, Bryan!

So yesterday and today involved replacing three ceiling fans and running some Cat-6 cable to get my NAS up and running. The fans in the kitchen and family room were fine except they were dated. The fan on the screened in porch was another story. First, the previous owner decided it was OK to put up an indoor fan even though this is Florida and there is a hot tub on the porch, so higher than desert level humidity. It was basically falling apart as I was taking it down. Then as I was disconnecting the wires I discovered that he never connected the fan and mount ground wires to the house wiring ground. What a dufus. Anyway, the new fan is an outdoor model and is now properly grounded. As we replace things it is clear that the former owner liked to cut corners. Let the adventure continue.

Been busy with our house closing so missed a bit. Glad all the NorCal peeps are OK. Hoping for better air and maybe some moisture to help out the situation. Stay safe.

Yep, I am one of those that like the Sonica. It’s ability to stream was what convinced me I would like a more capable streamer.

So I am feeling the itch to upgrade my digital front end with a streamer and DAC or Streamer/DAC. The contenders right now are the Bryston BDP-3 and Bryston BDA-3, PS Audio Directstream DAC w Network Bridge II or the Directstream junior DAC (most likely the latter as the former seems too expensive given the differences), Auralic (either the Altair or the Aries and Vega) or the Nativ Vita and Wave. I know we don't really discuss audio components anymore but if anyone has any positive or negative comments (relevant or not), about any of these or any other suggestions would be appreciated as I am still in the early research stage. Now back to discussing alcohol and other matters of more importance.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Went out for a nice dinner at our favorite Japanese restaurant and over indulged in Sake and Sushi. Since Karen’s Birthday is three days before mine our new house will serve as an appropriate present for us both.
