Nice
. What software were you using before xxClone?
I started out using the EZ-GIG II software that came with the Apricorn enclosure. Upon rebooting it would stop with a message that the partition changed even though it said it had previously locked it. I then decided to go old school and created bootable USB flash drives for gparted and SLAX. This was extremely slow and never created a bootable drive. I then used some software from easeus that also failed. There was one more but it was so bad that my mind has blocked it out. The xxclone software was superb and can also be used for incremental backups if you upgrade the free version. I may actually do that but the free version is all you need for cloning.

Well it has taken me almost 5 days to upgrade my EeePC disk from the 80Gb stock issue to a 320Gb drive. The main problem is that most of the disk cloning software just absolutely sucks and failed in one way or another when I tried to use it.
However xxClone came through, worked superbly and was extremely easy to use. I now have 268Gb for music/data, WooHoo.

Wow!!! That is absolutely the best looking TT I have seen in a while. You are truly an artisan Steve.
Oh BTW did I mention that the table looks friggin awesome? It rivals most of the projects David Marks has had on his show. Maybe you need your own show on DIY Network, Wood-Case?

Well I went with this, today
Actually the cheapest of the three in my final consideration. Must have been the flashbacks (tastebacks?) to August
I would have bought the BMH Rye but alas they did not have it.

.... Please at least tell me that Abercrombie has died a horrible death.
Oh, I only wish. Abercrombie and Fitch went from ultimate win (many, many moons ago) to absolutely and unrecoverably FAIL.

Birthday Happy a Have.

I purchased it from:
Dale Manquen at MANCO
1694 Calle Zocalo
Thousand Oaks, CA 91360
(805) 529-2496
It was $250 + shipping. Although that's expensive, according to Craig, it is the equal of the RK-50 at less than half its price.

Mine only has 2-channels though

Maybe Tampa needs to have a little bourbon tasting table. The impressions will be way more interesting than lousy old gear.
x2 on this one

..., but I did not think that this thread would exclude Rye.
Absolutely not, I appreciate the rye recommendations. I just wanted to make sure we did not fluster the sensibilities of any of our Southern brethren.
-
.... Also, are they being used in the GS-X as well?
I was told that they could also be used in the GS-X.
-
You guys do realize that in the south, bourbon and rye are not interchangeable. This was learned from bitter and painful experience.

I'm a big fan of Old Forresters for an inexpensive sipper. Bites like a bourbon should.
I had a small run-in with some (actually quite a bit of) Old Forresters in college. To this day I try to stay away from it. So I would say it does have some bite, 30+ years
I think I'll look for the van Winkle and maybe some Maple Hill tomorrow in C-U.

Hmm ... works fine for me using IE7.

looks like morphsci's pic and mine are from the same guy
Yep, that's where I borrowed my image.
-
I'll start. For an everyday bourbon this is one of my favorites. Good flavor and a very reasonable price.

well, i found the iPhone case i'm going to buy, i think.
Very noice. Thanks for the info, I just ordered the Touch 1G model.

Happy Birthday, my man!

I guess I'll jump on the bandwagon. My main rig should be all sorted out in the next few months and then I will need stands for several phones. I really like how the stands are not one-size fits all phones and they are tailored to the phone and owner. (SHILLSHILLSHILLSHILLSHILLSHILLSHILLSHILLSHILLSHILLSHILLSHILLSHILLSHILLSHILL)

Good choice. I heard this unit last week at a dealer and was really impressed by it. Of course it didn't hurt that it was driving a pair of Harbeth HL-P3ES-2's. I <3 Harbeths.

I guess I have joined the dark side

After trying on several brands and models from each, I decided that I liked the Keen sandals the best. Since I shopped locally and was helped in all the stores, I bought locally. If I really like them, next time I can shop online and save some money. Anyway, here's what I got:
The color is called "madder brown". It's definitely a love it or hate it color.
Good choice. I like the color.

You're welcome. How do you find the fit of the Newports? Is the specified smaller, correct or larger than what you expect? I went .5 size higher. Should I have gone .5 lower?
The Newports seem to be right on target. I have them in a 10 and they fit just fine if slightly on the big side (which most size 10's are on me). I ordered the slides in 9.5 as that was the only size close to what I needed so we will see how that works out. For the price, it seemed well worth the risk.
-
I found a cheap Keen slider, if they have your size. REI is selling certain sizes and colors of Keen Arubas for an incredible price. My size is 9. They have 8.5 and 9.5. For the price, I figured I could take a chance on a 9.5.
Thanks Ken, just snagged myself a pair. Reksy they have them in 11.5 which might work, or you could step-up to the 14s
