Fuckity, Fuck, Fuck. I was all set for the late April early May usual date this year. May 30 and 31 is not impossible, but you guys are making it hard (and not in a good way).

I cannot agree with Nate more about building a raised floor. In addition to the advantages Nate lists, it will be important to add a vapor barrier since the floor is concrete. Our "home theater" is our family room. Having the crawl space beneath is handy (as is the attic space), but everytime I'm under there I wish I had more easily accessible runs under the floor. Whether you decide to go with a raised floor, a good vapor barrier is essential. You may also want to build a riser for the front area, that can be filled with sand for speaker isolation. Lastly, start thinking abou how you are going to store the electronics. I use a small closet at the back of the room that is fitted with a mid-atlantic equipment rack. Last thing, depending upon location relative to other rooms and how noisy it is outside, think about soundproofing. There is higher soundproofing gypsum board as well as things like Quiet Barrier, Ultra Barrier and the Iso-Trax system. There is some good general advice HERE, especially the ones from the Corey Greenburg hosted segments (DHTW) on building your own home theater. If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me, as the home theater is a work in progress and I have lots of mistakes under my belt to share.

Well I'm a little late to the party, but that is one nice looking amp. I would say it was the best thing I've seen on H-C in a while, except the picture of Lilly puts it to shame. . Happy Holidays to you Mr. Round Hole Cutter Tech and the family. -
How has your rig changed in 2008? And do you have any plans for 2009?

Opened up my exchange gift from Reksy (after making sure it didn't smell like rotting flesh) ... I love these exchanges. I would have never picked this up and its great
-
Wrapped stuff, put stuff together, hooked stuff up, went out and bought D-cell batteries (12:30 AM), finished hooking stuff up, had a martini, put more stuff together (somehow it seemed to take longer ), went to bed, woke up 4 hours later, unwrapped presents, put more stuff together, ate breakfast, hooked up some more stuff, took a break.

Check into diet changes too, a little harder with cats than humans, but not impossible depending upon severity. Ouch for you and your son.

I own an ES-1 and I like it. I owned an RSA Stealth and SR-71 and liked them both. I sold an original Hornet and then bought another one. I cannot hear any difference between CD, WAV, FLAC and ALAC (when all other variables are carefully controlled). I care how my gear looks as well as how it sounds. I am a gear whore. Please forgive these sins, both venial and mortal, most holy postjack
