I use the A5's at work and am constantly surprised by how good they sound as "near-field" monitors. Why do you feel the NHT's would outperform the Audioengines?
Edit: Beaten by the Duster.
Exactly my point regarding Mikhail induced variance. It is unlikely that any two amps, even of the same design are exactly alike, and there is certainly the possibility that they are, and sound, quite different.
That's fine, I just prefer never to underestimate the absolute futility of painting a picture about anything to do with Mikhail using anything resembling logic as part of the palette.
Even without hearing the Nova I really like the way it looks. Very refreshing compared to the usual audio non-style. I will be interested in how it sounds.
Right now if someone said I could only keep one of my John Grado headphones it would be toss up if I would keep the HF-2 or the MS-Pro. That is saying a lot as the MS-Pro has seen a lot of headphones come and go in this house.
I was going to upgrade my phone to an Omnia and they told I would have to pay them thirty dollars for essentially nothing or $45 for unlimited data. I explained that it seemed quite expensive as I would be using wi-fi at home and at work. At that point he proceeded to tell me that even when I was using wi-fi I was still using their network for data. I stopped him there and told him I would be switching to AT&T in September since their data plan is 50% less/month and if I have to pay for a data plan then it will at least be for a phone that can replace my touch.
Well Verizon totally pissed me off so it looks like I will get an iphone in September when my contract expires. So did you guys know that when you connect your phone via wifi you need a cellular network connection?
