I like the quails. I use the ones that have bare wires on the IEC end and then just wire it up with a nice IEC connector after cutting to the exact length I need. The outlet plug stays put better than any esoteric cords I have tried, but that is a pretty limited sample.

Actually my comment about the dongle was not to disparage Amarra. If it did not have to use a dongle, I would have already purchased a copy. After the third computer hard drive was destroyed because of a dongle, they have been banished from any home or work computer I have any amount of control over. Definitely a personal bias, but not one that is likely ever to change, no matter how good the software is.

The DACMagic sounds very good balanced as long as the input is not USB. Coax and toslink sound about equal coming from the transporter. USB sounds worse than toslink coming out of the MAC mini. That was based on my listening before the stereophile review and measurements.

For acute trauma and acute illness I agree with you reks but for a chronic disease I would certainly trust a witch doctor more than most doctors involved in the U.S. system of health care, for oh so many reasons.

And the fact that our model of how human's actually hear is just slightly better than that under which witch doctors operate.

I was thinking that same thing until I compared my remaining to-do list to the length of time before August 15th. Plus we converted part of the cash from the four-wheeler sale into the bedroom set. Lifestyle changes are so interesting.
