  1. Excellent, because your Micro Line Drive inspired me to go looking for a mid to replace the one that did not survive SD.
  2. My understanding is the network bridge is a wireless bridge to a NAS, then through a digital lens to clean up the jitter and output from their using i2s via HDMI to the DAC.
  3. Awesome. I will be looking forward to your impressions. Depending upon how well it works will be the deciding factor in my purchase.
  4. When is the network bridge scheduled to be released?
  5. Well I finished modding the LCD-1's. I did a slight modification of dbels mod. In addition to the yellow insulation I used some thin felt on the inside of the cups as well as another density of thin felt with an adhesive layer on the outside of the insulation. Then I used the thick dense felt pad between the screws holding the driver. Lastly I sealed the pads to the drivers using some (actually quite a bit of) special orthosealing (electrical) tape. It was a lot to stuff in there but they do sound better balanced. Can't really say if it has helped in their handling of complex musical passages as I haven't listened to anything that complex yet. Definitely an easy and worthwhile thing to do and it is infinitely customizable.
  6. Take I24W to I65N to I90W to I190W... Approx. 10 hours, 620 miles but for you probably closer to 7 hours
  7. They already have them but they are part of HT receivers and pre-pros.
  8. Yeah, could be. There is nothing known weird about those CDs AFAIK and I actually have both and never had a problem with them.
  9. Happiest of Birthdays and get well.

  11. Have you tried burning them to CD/DVD and then trying to read the copy?
  12. That is an awesome picture.
  13. Because your avatar picture makes you look so much more debonair?

Nah! Lots of other primates do it.
  16. Unlike most of the AT&T drones this guy actually seemed knowledgeable and actually checked out the situation as he was going about transferring my number. I was aware of the potential problem as we have a lot of students who come down from Chicago and anyone with AT&T has had to deal with that problem even though their billing address is not in Charleston. Supposedly it is actually in the contract (still may not be legal) but I never got that far. I may tie some things up regarding the cell number and then just go for it and see what happens. At least it wasn't a wasted trip as I was able to pick up my wife's new running shoes so I definitely earned some awesome-husband points (which I tend to use up pretty damn fast) .
  17. Well I guess I will not be getting an iphone anytime soon. according AT&fuckingT, Charleston, IL is in a red zone. If your ratio of in-network to out-of-network calls falls below some predetermined, but unspecified value, they can terminate your contract with 30 days notice. Not huge, but if they do, they may not let my number be transferred to another carrier. Cunts™. No T-Pain
  18. You've actually met at least one of us and most likely two of us already Well if nobody else volunteers I can drive it up as I have a pickmeuptruck as well as two fucking huge pelican cases to keep things nice and dry and secure. The only monkey in the wrench is that I will not be there exceptionally early on Saturday. I am about 3 hours south of Chicago (if I drive like a maniac) and we will be seeing Neko Case on Friday evening, so I will definitely have some parental suties Saturday morning. Just let me know.

  20. Well I finished the dbel modding/damping of one cup as the "new" foam arrived but then ran out of felt . Still, it doesn't sound haf bad.
  21. Congratulations JP on a job very well done.
