For movies I would go 2.1 unless your speakers are really monoliths and have some serious bass capability. 12L actives should be good for the L and R.

You are also paying for the better integration of the hardware/software/OS. That to me has become worth the premium price. That being said, the evo 4g, has made me appreciate the android OS, especially on a smaller device like a phone or smaller tablet. I think it is definitely competitive with the iPhone/iPad OS.

Nobody pays more attention to detail than Red Oxx IMHO. I do now have one reservation about the air boss now and it is the strap. Not a bad strap but I think I will try out the absolute shoulder strap from Tom Bihn for a while.
