  1. I like the K701 out of the BA. Back when I used to actually carry equipment to meets I found a lot of people that really liked the combination of the K701 and GSX. My K701 is recalbled to dual entry and balanced. The dual entry probably makes more difference than the balanced.
  2. My condolences to you and your family Al. I will begin by raising my morning coffee in honor of an amazing life lived.
  3. Payment sent. Get on the stick boys.

  5. That sounds like a win-win-win situation. Congratulations.
  6. Hope the business is a success. Good luck!
  7. I sometime use a pickle as a stir stick in mine as well as experimentation with whatever hot sauces we have available.
  8. Had another graduate student successfully defend today. It's nice to see them leave the nest.
  9. That is truly impressive Andy. You sir are living right. Congrats.

  14. Welcome back Al and congrats Claire. I want to change my reaction to the Bonal and Rye from yummy to fucking brilliant! If you like Manhattans you need to try this drink. I also tried a Vesper # 2 1 1/2 oz Ransom Old Tom gin 1/2 oz Germain-Robin brandy 3/4 oz Cocchi Americano Stir and pour Extremely meh Tonight a Little Italy 2 ounces rye whiskey 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth 1/2 ounce Cynar Maraschino cherry Orange zest Combine liquid ingredients in an ice-filled mixing glass and stir until cold. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry, then flame a wide strip of orange zest over the top. Nice and nice. The Griottines kirsch steeped cherries are much better than Luxardo. The flamed orange zest was cool and worth the singeing
  15. Absolutely.
  16. Congratulations to the US women's soccer team on perhaps the greatest comeback victory I can remember in recent history. It is gratifying to see grit, determination and raw talent win out over terrible (horrendous) refereeing and egregious diving. I only hope that the referee is not allowed to call a FIFA match for the rest of humanity's existence. And just to put the exclamation mark on it the president of the university was driving by as Karen was doing her Brandy Chastain in our driveway. It was nice of him to wave.
  17. At least my android phone doesn't die from water damage when I cry on it because it's not an iPhone.
  18. I gave up waiting for the next version in 1981.
  19. Nice. Looks like a California King Snake.
  20. A Hemingroni? I would lose the grapefruit juice, but that's just me. EDIT: I totally misread the intent of the thread. My new suggestion is NecronoDaiquiri. But I like Dinny's suggestion. Japanese Cobbler 3 ounce sake 1 ounce fresh lemon juice ½ ounce orange curaçao ¾ ounce simple syrup Shake all ingredients and strain into a large goblet, top with sweet or dry soda to taste. Garnish with a sprig of mint and fresh fruit. Courtesy of Dale DeGroff
  21. Nice Mezcal John. Let me know how you like it. Currently in the cart at Drinkupny.
