Glad your back home Al.
Tried a Paris Manhattan
2 Parts High West Bourye
1 Part St. Germain Elderflower liqueur
1/2 Part Dolin dry vermouth
2 dashes Fee Brothers Cherry bitters
Stir and striain. Garnish with one (or two) of your favorite cherries.
A bit on the sweet side I will make another and adjust the proportions, for science.
Hopefully the name does not reflect the source of the water
Yep. That is what convinced me I really like Blackwoods. Hard to hide a crappy gin in a Martini.
Excellent! I love your secret ingredients.
Well the Matin with 3:1 gin:vodka is better. The Campari is less prominent and it has a nicer finish. Looks the same but tastes better.
I am going to try it with the traditional Vesper proportions of 3:1 gin:vodka instead of the reversed proportions. Should be even more Negroni like. That being said I do like vodka, kind of part of the heritage and all.
Nice!
That sounds like a tasty Bonal and Rye Shelly.
The Tonga Room drink menu looks like it should keep you entertained for a while Marc.
Cheers Al!
Edit: Finished off the Gale Force (Thanks again Marc and Todd) and the North Shore 11 today.
Laying in some supplies for the start of the semester in a little over a week.
1x High West BouRye
1x Junipero Gin
1x St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
6 pack FFF Alpha King
6 pack FFF Gumballhead
2x FFF Dreadnaught
1x FFF Blackheart (Because they only had 1 left)
Yesterday I did take Shelly's advice and used more rye in the Second Peralta, I also switched to the Willet which is higher proof and swapped the proportions of grapefruit and lemon juice. Much better balance, less sweet, moar bite.
Now a bloody brilliant Bonal and Rye
